 Engaging in and promoting multidisciplinary teamwork, including working alongside specialist doctors and nurses, health visitors, social workers, radiographers and physiotherapists.
 Observing strict hygiene and safety rules and ensuring that visitors also observe any rules on the ward or unit.
 Writing reports and updating records before completing a shift.

 Assess ABC’s and Initiate C.P.R immediately if indicated
 Monitoring of vital signs, ECG, CVP, ABG etc
 Administration of drug in emergencies
 Assess, Plan, Implement and Supervise individual patient care
 Providing cardio version and defibrillation
 Care of patient on ventilator
 Nursing critically ill patients with MI, CCF, CAD, Valvular Heart Diseases, Congenital Heart diseases and Dysarrhythmias, COPD, Bronchial Asthma, Pulmonary embolism, Pneumo and haemo thorax, atelectasis, pulmonary edema, lung cancer and pulmonary diseases and chronic kidney diseases.
 Pre and Post-operative care for CABG, Valvular surgeries, Correction of Congenital Heart Diseases, thymectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy Permanent Pace Maker Implantation, PTCA, PTMC, Balloon valvuloplasty and Shunt Surgeries and cardiac catheterization procedures.
 Managing Cardiac arrest (Code Blue)
 Providing Acute Cardiac Life Support

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Transport of patient to operation theatre, ICU and ICCU
 Experience in all other general nursing procedures
 Nursing critically ill patients with MI, CCF, CAD, Valvular Heart Diseases, Congenital Heart diseases and Dysarrhythmias, COPD, Bronchial Asthma, Pulmonary embolism, Pneumo and haemo thorax, atelectasis, pulmonary edema, lung cancer and pulmonary diseases and chronic kidney diseases.

 Participate in staff training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences etc.
 Preparation of patients for diagnostic evaluation
 Drug calculation and administration
 Assisting for blood culture, ABG, Bone marrow aspiration, lumbar puncture, pleural & ascetic tap and renal biopsy.
 Pre and post op care of patients with pacemaker, coronary angiogram, angioplasty, balloon mitral valvotomy, renal angiogram, renal biopsy and AV fistula..
 Oxygen administration and nebulization.
