Responsible for delivery of multiple Software Development & Package Acquisition projects for Emirates Engineering, Group Safety, Flight Operations domains. Accountable for the delivery of key operational and strategic projects for Emirates including Electronic Logbook (ELB), Detail Engagement Activities (DeNA), Aircraft Health Index (AHI) and ETA Prediction System (EPIC) for on-time decision making based on flight arrival. I was also responsible for end-to-end Project Management ensuring effective planning and execution of all project lifecycle activities including but not limited to creating and managing Project Management Plan, Risks and Issues management, Resource Utilization, Budgeting, Stakeholder Management and Project communications.
I had successfully managed and delivered Java technology projects using Spring, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3 to deliver device agnostic, platform-independent & highly responsive end-user applications for Emirates Airlines.
My duties also involve the evaluation of Vendors, Analysis of the responses to the RFTs and to seek any clarifications and prepare Vendor Evaluation Report. Setup best practices and development standards to improve code quality to avoid duplicate codes, improve coding standards, unit testing, code coverage & reduce security vulnerabilities and constantly monitor performance by integrating the SonarQube solution with source code management.Manage & Optimize resources effectively by deploying the right people skills on the right project. Responsible for People Management & act as a mentor to the team. Set performance goals for career development of the team and provide guidance. Responsible for performance review & employee development programs.
I'm also an active participant in process improvement group to streamline and improve efficiencies throughout organization across projects. Managed Java resource allocation (resources as a service) internally for short-term requirements for projects based on skills.
As a Senior System Analyst, I worked for Emirates Airline as a consultant with my key responsibilities including gathering requirements, categorizing and prioritizing them based on the criticality agreed at the project-working group. Clarifying the business needs and objectives, by direct interaction with the stakeholders, and identifying the set of requirements that can be delivered per release schedule.
Defining and documenting the requirements via user requirement specification (URS) document, developing the business cases and process flows as required. Assisting the project manager(s) and relationship manager(s) to scope projects, prepare business cases and project plans and coordinate with the stakeholders to obtain signoff on the requirements. Ensure project documentation is updated as per the latest QMS templates and stored on the SharePoint site. Preparing the test strategy, system, and integration testing plans, and carrying out system& integration testing.
Providing support to the business users during the user acceptance test phase. Analyze bugs reported and initiate appropriate remedial action. Assisting the senior business analyst(s) in carrying out process studies and gap analyses for implementing Safety Management and Aircraft MRO Systems. Analyze change requests clients and interface with respective project managers for delivering the desired enhancements.
Assisting the project manager in setting objectives and targets for junior project staff and performing quality assurance checks as required. Report on work progress to the Project Manager as required.
