Lead the Supply Chain operations from Demand Planning to product supply, import, and clearance up to warehouse management, delivery of goods, supplier selection, and forging strong vendor-partner relationships.

Ø Develop and align SCM department strategies and objectives by developing business plans, feasibility studies, budgets planning in co-ordination with Director of Supply Chain.

Ø Manage the demand planning process by enforcing the planning discipline through elaboration and implementation of proper planning tools.

Ø Manage the product supply process, commercial & shipping terms, reconciliation with suppliers, sourcing optimization, supplier’s service level agreement, contract negotiation, and cost modeling.

Ø Manage the different aspects of the logistics operation, import and clearance, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and third-party logistics provider to ensure proper storage and distribution of finished goods.

Ø Work closely with the distribution center, monitor the inventory levels of each SKU and ensure consistent and uninterrupted supply of products to stores while avoiding overstocking.

Ø Watch out for the expiry risks and prioritize depletion in co-ordination with marketing and operations team.

Ø Drive positive business results through strategic negotiations, controlling costs and inventories, and implementing processes to support current and future business opportunities.

Ø Provide guidance and leadership to SCM Executives to achieve agreed-upon targeted goals and objectives and ensure effective talent management practices.

Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize process efficiency and productivity. In addition, plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with the vendors and other key stakeholders. Major roles and responsibilities include;

• Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer/client satisfaction at the optimum cost.
• Lead and manage the entire supply chain operations covering procurement, logistics (international import & export), inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Lead the supply chain team in executing best practices and measure performance through agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Direct and coordinate global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer/client satisfaction.
• Liaise with warehouse department and logistics to determine and lead inventory transfers.
• Lead the annual and cycle count of physical inventory across the organization
• Co-ordinate directly with the sales department to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods.
• Monitor the inventory levels to ensure efficient turns and maximize working capital and adopt CAPA if necessary.
• Work with freight forwards and transportation companies to set the best route and rate (review and approve all freight terms and agreements).
• Responsible to report routinely on KPIs & KRAs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.

Responsible for monitoring and controlling the inventory level of Brands SKUs to anticipate and avoid any potential out of stock or overstock issues in line with the assortment review outcomes. In addition, executing CPFR activities, developing liquidation plans, preparing and implementing planogram.

Major Duties & Responsibilities includes;

Develop the Planning & Inventory Management function’s strategic objectives and business plans in coordination with the Director of Merchandising.

Develop adequate policies and processes for the Planning & Inventory Management function to maintain efficient operational excellence.

Communicate the Planning & Inventory Management function’s policies and
processes to employees and ensure a clear understanding of these policies and
processes.

Identify the target margin and mark prices based on brand and category for the newly arrived items in stock as and when required.

Analyse the performance of each SKU and identify decisions/actions (i.e. Continue, Discontinue, Markdown 1, Markdown 2, Promotions, Replace with New Product, and Liquidation) in coordination with Director of Merchandising.

Analyse the age of SKUs based on PLC (Product Life Cycle) to ensure the accuracy of decisions/actions.

Execute the monthly demand planning activities and distribute the overall budget among brands in charge based on projected sales and inventory.

Manage the demand planning activities and assist Showroom Managers to come up with SKU wise unconstrained projected sales.

Build and monitor brand level safety stock to avoid stock-outs and loss of sale,
and to address variability in demand at the desired service level.

Develop procurement plan based on demand plan, planned turnover, lead time, MOQ, pending orders, inventory scenarios and OTB calculations in collaboration with sourcing & procurement team.

Manage the liquidation activities by identifying the list of SKUs to be liquidated based on the liquidation logic and also develop a suitable plan for liquidation, without impacting the target margin to be maintained monthly.

Review and analyse sales/square meter for each category and prepare an action plan to increase sales/square meter planogram changes.

Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales teams on a periodical basis to understand customer demand.

Continuously review and analyse the sales forecast, demand plans, inventory reports, and availability/requirements for long lead-time items to provide production guidance to the supplier through the S&P department.

Support new product introduction programs, in conjunction with the Manager of Promotion and New Product Introduction during the trial process.

Conduct performance evaluation processes for the Planning & Inventory Management function’s employees to cover objective settings progress
performance meetings and performance appraisals.

Procurement Related Functions;

•Raise Request For Quotes (RFQ) with vendors on identified products and negotiate for the best possible prices and other terms.
•Conduct follow up on the Request For Quotes raised (Email and Telephone).

Sourcing Related Functions;

•Participate in developing Supplier Relationship function’s strategic objectives and business plans in coordination with Supplier Relationship Manager.
• Execute sourcing initiatives to maximize value by reducing costs and improving the quality of goods and services that are purchased.
• Understand strategies for assigned categories and proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.
• Assist in nominating suppliers and select the best one which provides best quality and prices.
•Conduct general market research in various categories as well as research into potential suppliers, product specifications and resources.
•Understand and research market trends, industry conditions, risk factors, price, quality, delivery requirements, terms and conditions.
•Review all alternative sources of supply for items, even if there are long standing relationships with existing suppliers
•Assist in reducing the number of suppliers providing similar products and services, resulting in better negotiation position to reduce prices and lower supplier management costs.
•Collect and share supplier qualification and performance information from / with concerned functions for future preference and consideration.
•Support in establishing and negotiating JV’s (Joint Ventures) with major suppliers and create a mutually beneficial opportunity for Al-Mutlaq company and the vendor.
•Report to Supplier Relationship Manager and suggest action plans with suppliers not meeting performance expectations.
• Assist in implementing the strategic sourcing processes, sourcing operations, planning, administration, and analysis.
