Managing project E&I engineering deliverables from concept through detail engineering till hand over, Co-ordinate and support E&I activities on site with production, QC, Commissioning and sub- contractors to facilitate on time project handover.
•Preparation of various electrical calculations / technical documents like short circuit, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, load analysis, cable schedule, ESD cause & effect chart, hazardous area equipment schedule, clarifications to client response sheet,
•Review and approval of vendor documents/drawings, preparation of technical specifications for various distribution and control panels, cable management systems etc. and preparation of technical bid evaluation to qualify quote/vendor. Co-ordination with procurement and suppliers for material alternatives to ensure delivery as per construction schedule.
•Approving and providing guide lines for preparation of various electrical, control and instrumentation documents / drawings and electrical installation standards to ensure the drawings and design are safe, easy to build and comply with the client / Industries class regulations and to comply with company quality assurance procedures.
•Attending weekly site walk around with client, providing clarifications to queries and keep record of changes done at site and the lessons learned are documented and cascaded to all concerned.
•Attending production and commissioning interface meeting, clearing / clarifying production, QC inspection and commissioning punch list by maintaining punch list status report monitoring on daily basis to meet the deadline.
•Attending FAT for various electrical auxiliary panels, electrical power and lighting distribution panels. Inspection of various equipment’s like power generator, switchboards, MCC’s, motors etc.) to confirm the compliance with client requirement and specifications and to ensure the equipment’s are ready to install.
•Review of IDC documents, providing E&I input for plant operation and maintenance manual, attending other department interface meetings and co-ordination with other disciplines to accomplish a common goal.
•Providing E&I engineering project deliverables, technical note and man hour estimates for project planning and to QS for RFQ submission and for change order estimates.
•Preparation of bulk cable MTO, maintaining cable drum schedule and cable allocation matrix to ensure proper utilization of cables in projects.
•Review of elaborate MTO to client requirements /construction specification’s, approve material requisitions and providing guidelines for preparation of part Id system for electrical installation consumables for projects.
•Preparation of site survey report for modification / addition, propose concepts applicable to the requested modification and define the most appropriate one.
•Experience working in safety environment which emphasis zero tolerance on work related accidents and provides awareness and understanding of hazards in workplace.
•Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, preplan to achieve milestones by fore casting required resources and coordinating activities.
•Co-ordination of MEP services and attending daily production interface meeting for easy and clash free installation.
•Ensuring safety work atmosphere and coordinate tool box talks to ensure project meets electrical and construction safety regulations
New built and refurbishment of ABS Class / Saudi Aramco spec Jack up Rigs, Accommodation Rigs, Barges etc. New built projects handled (Super 116E Jack up rigs): Projects: Scorpion Rigs: Offshore Freedom, Offshore Mischief NDC Rigs: Makasib, Muhaiyimat, Qarnin, Marwaah, Al Shuwehat, Butina, Al Gharbia Al Hudairiyat & Al Lulu EuDC Rig’s: Neptune & Mercury Great Ship Rig: Great drill Chaaya & Chaaru Jindal Pipes: Rig Jindal Star & Pioneer ENSCO: ENSCO 140 & ENSCO 141.
Refurbishment projects handled (Jack up rigs): GSP offshore: Rig Atlas GSF: Rig Mainpass I & IV Noble rigs: Mark burns, Mick O’ brien, Roger lewis ... Barge: Hamriyah pride.
Electrical infrastructure for Lamprell yard in Hamriyah Free Zone: Installation of ring main units, transformer substations, backup generator installation, cable laying and installation of distribution boards in the quay side etc
