Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Project execution while HSE Manager's absences. Take over the responsibilities HSE Manager’s under his absence.
• Responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to while minimizing the operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries.
• Participate and in conduct coordination meetings with Qatar Foundation HSE teams for all critical jobs and new activities on site.
• Reviewing and Approving Method statements & Risk Assessments for all critical activities.
• Support HSE Manager to Develop and contribute to Safety & Environmental Management systems and associated strategies and management plans. Advice, plan, organize & manage EHS programs while developing & enforcing various EHS schemes, safety promotional activities & procedures.
• Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance.
• Reviewing Safety officer’s daily reports and Coordinating with concerned section managers and sub contractors for close-out.
• Assisting Project HSE Manager in Consultant, Client meetings and Safety Committee meetings etc.
• Assisting HSE Manager to Develop & implement Occupational, Health & Safety management system.
• Attending Client consultant Joint Safety Inspections and producing reports for close-out
• Assisting HSE Manager for the accident investigations, legal documents preparation and submission to Authorities.
• Conducting Internal Audits to sub contractors and follow-up on NCR close outs.
• Prepare, develop & implement EHS management system & documentation in line with ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001.
• Ensuring effective risk management programs are developed to identify hazards & their effects while taking preventive measures. Provide technical guidance on the aspects of Risk management to the company & professionals.
• Preparation of ISO / OSHAS Audit documentations. Ensure that Objectives & Management Programs are as per OHSAS are followed-up with relevant professionals.
• Provide technical expertise and advice to Engineering team, from conception to completion on all aspect relating to Safety & Loss prevention.
• Provide HSE improvement proposals stating: the non-conformance, proposed corrective action, required resources for corrective action and plan of implementation. Investigate the root cause HSE complaints put forward by staff members, clients and contractors and report the result to the QHSE manager.
• Assisting HSE Manager to developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.
• Conducting Training for Safety officers and Engineering staff.
