Performing various inspection activities on site and at vendor facilities during manufacture, fabrication, installation and operational testing. Verification of vendor compliance to purchase orders and specifications.
General Mechanical, Pipelines & Pipe Manufacturing:
• Traceability of materials with respect to mill certificate for the receiving material like plates, Billets pipes etc.
• Welding Inspection, visual inspection of joint fit-ups, in process and completed welding inspection on various Materials.
• Welding Inspection duties including setup, in-process inspection, welder’s performance, production testing and welding supervision.
• Carry out the final dimensional inspection of the finished structure as per drawing requirement prior to blasting.
• Experienced in the Inspection and monitoring of forming, welding and respective quality testing activities of welded Line Pipes as per API 5L &Client specifications for different grades and numerous sizes for Sour, Non-sour and water applications.
• Experienced in the Inspection and monitoring of rolling and respective quality testing activities of seamless Line Pipes as per API 5L/ASTM A106/ASTM A333 &Client specifications for different grades and numerous sizes for Sour, Non-sour and water applications.
• Experienced in inspecting &monitoring the casing & tubing activities of various API 5CTgrades &respective Threading as per API 5B (welded & Seamless) as per International standards, client specification &Material Inspection & Test Plan.
• Experienced in inspecting &monitoring the activities of MPQT of spiral pipe mills, LSAW pipe Mills& Seamless pipe mills as per Material Inspection & Test Plan.
• Inspection and review of Material test certificates for Billets, hot rolled coils. Plates and welding consumables.
• Experienced in inspecting and monitoring of seamless pipe mill manufacturing activities like billet cutting according to sizes and weighing of the same, Billet charging, heating and discharging from Rotary Hearth Furnaces, Piercing, rolling in fine mill, pipe extraction in extracting mill, Pipe reheating and online normalizing, Hot sizing, cold straightening, Destructive Test Sampling, NDT -UT & wet MPI, Hydro test , Mechanical Testing’s, Finishing Line activities and Final VDI Inspections.
• Experienced in qualifying and reviewing of PQRs, WPSs (welded Pipes), Manufacturing inspection test procedure for numerous sizes and grades as per relevant codes and specifications

• Inspection of welding parameters such as voltage, amperage, travel speed, pre-heat & inter pass temperature.
• Experienced in inspection & monitoring of pipe manufacturing stages like edge milling, crimping, forming, AUT of plates, internal & external SAW, skelp welding, beveling, NDT, AUT of weld, hydro test, RT film interpretation, final dimensional and residual magnetism by gauss’ meter etc.
• Experienced in Sampling for HIC (Hydrogen Induced Cracking testing) and Witnessing / monitoring all the respective HIC testing activities / procedures as per NACE-TM0284 and final evaluation of control and test coupons against Standard requirements / client specification.
• Experienced in Sampling of Destructive Testing Test coupons as per API5L /API 5CT requirements for the line pipes manufacturing / Casing & Tubing -OCTG.
• Experienced in Destructive Mechanical Testing activities like Tensile Testing, Charpy Impact, Hardness, Guided Bend, Chemical Analysis, drop weight Tear Test, Macro Analysis, Flattening Test, SSC & HIC Tests as per Relevant standards - API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A 333, ASTM A -370, NACE MR 0175.
Handling of TUBOSCOPE automatic UT&EMI machine in NDT trained by Tuboscope, USA. • NDT operations/ ensure in process stage wise inspections are carried out as per the applicable quality procedures, specification requirements. • Ensure that all NDT inspection equipments are calibrated and preparations of work instructions are maintained. • Preparation and maintenance of NDT calibration standards. • 5S and WCM implementation in working Area. • Safe handling of instruments and housekeeping of the work place. • Work place safety of yourself and fellow workers.
SITES BEHALF OF OCTL ( Field Inspection):
I have done field inspection done at rigs of Weatherford Drilling International (Rajastan) and John Energy (India) Ltd. as OCTG INSPECTOR . for inspection of Drill Pipes, BHA (Bottom Hole Assembly) components and Rig components using EMI, threding inspection, Dry &Wet ( Black light ) magnetic particle inspection, dimensional inspection, visual inspection and to sagregate drill pipes as per drill stem (DS-1).

Handling of SONOTRON TM automatic UT machine in United seamless tubulaar Pvt Ltd Trained By NDT Technologies Canada.
NATURE OF DUTIES :
My Job profile is to carry inspection's at following areas of QC.
Carried inspection with on SONOTRON TM automatic UT machine for seamless pipes. (casing, tubing, drillpipe)
• My application of UT on weld areas & Tubular material inspection .
• My application of MPI using on following methodsCoil shot, prode, central conducting, Yoke (Dry&MPI ) .
• Insp. and review of graphs for processing machines like Spectalog-6000 ( Electro Magnetic Inspection )and Spectrograph (Buggy ), Thomson Friction Welding, Post weld heat treatment ( austnizing& Tempering ).
• I carried Insp using Wall thickness gauge& Portable Hardness tester.
• Ultrasonic, Magnetic partical, Penetrant inspections on pipes, pipe welds, castings, forgings and heat treated raw materials like barstocks, shafts, billets and variousengineering components.
• Defect evaluation and decision making as per acceptence criteria.
• Supervising and shift maintanence.
