Headed the expansion activity team for Company involving presentations to the Board of Directors, fixing the 5 year strategy, approaching, discussing and finalizing for capital expansion and working capital loans with financial institutions, finalizing with the Board of Directors, the range of components to be manufactured (especially for aircraft industry) based on strategy, finalizing the manufacturing processes, deciding on machines to be purchased, recruiting and training of personnel, while ensuring completion as per time and proposed cost.
Schmalz worldwide is a leading manufacturer of niche equipment for pick and place applications and end of line solutions using vacuum technology. Was recommended for this position by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce to present a feasibility study for establishing a manufacturing subsidiary in India. Headed a team to set up the project from scratch including selection of machines, establishing and implementing processes, recruitment and training of personnel, implementation of safety and quality standards, streamlining production of over 600 products and supply chain to cater to group requirement world-wide without delays. Was in charge of entire Indian operations as P&L Head. Achieved a turn-over of EUR 1 million in exports well ahead of planned strategy schedule. Resulted in savings of over 30% for group due to in-group manufacturing subsidiary. Planned and executed expansion project to increase export turn-over to EUR 2.5 million by 2020.
Reva Electric Car Co Pvt Ltd is a flag-ship Company of the Maini Group and is regarded as the first mass production Electric Car Company in the world. The project involved reduction in production costs, streamlining processes, increase in productivity in-house and suppliers while shifting production facilities from one location to another. Achieved a reduction of over 8% through realignment of in-house processes and through improvement of suppliers' processes. Established Just-in-time system with suppliers to improve stores inventory and better control for processes. Was member of team that looked for continuous improvements in car design for the next generation of cars.

Kern-Liebers is synonymous for strip and wire springs, fine blanking and textile components for automotive, electrical and electronics and textile industries world-wide. Transformed the Indian Company from a trading to a manufacturing unit. Established the Company as a fully owned subsidiary of Kern-Liebers Germany. Started off as Tier-2 manufacturer of seat-belt springs for the automotive business in India. Developed the Company to be the single source to the automotive industry including making customer of the biggest competitor. Planned and executed the expansion activity of the Company and solely responsible for proposing to bring the product range of the Kern-Liebers Group into India. Set up a Joint Venture Company for Group and developed the business for the manufacture of ultra-precise components (wire springs, find blanked, textile) for supply to the Indian industry. Established and implemented strong and robust processes for manufacture, quality and customer delight. Achieved ISO-TS 16949 for Companies without any findings, and preferred supplier status from Tier-1 automotive companies. Promoted to Alternate Director for managing overall Indian business and steered the business for other application development such as crowd control barriers, retractor systems for vacuum cleaners, washing machines, portable generator sets and for carbon brush holders for electric motors. Awarded the "Best Manager" in Group in 2006.
The largest subsidiary of Cummins Inc, Cummins India Ltd is the largest producer of diesel engines in India. As production increased, the need for in-house manufacture of Special Purpose Machines for multi-jobs was needed. Initially as Manager SPM Manufacturing and later as Head Tool Room and SPM Manufacturing, I was responsible for identifying the bottlenecks in production in line with the Company's strategy and accordingly manufacture machines to overcome the bottlenecks.
Assisting Design department for refurbishing older machines, manufacturing critical parts in Tool Room, initiating out-sourcing activity of sub-assemblies by identifying suitable suppliers, the final assembly and trials of machines was carried out by my team under my guidance.
As part of the Continuous Improvement process, I was credited with changing the design process from drawing board based to AutoCad based.
The above actions resulted in huge savings for the Company as well as being flexible in the production processes.
