Project Management for a new investment project of 1.5 Bn USD in Asia South: July 2025 onwards
o Setting up initial phase of project initiation activities through coordination with Business Unit - for feasibility study and concept optimization activities.
o Coordinating with Technology, Operations stakeholders of Business Unit for Requirement consolidation definition, engineering definition during Pre-FEED and FEED phases.
o Developing Project Execution Roadmap for Project Investment in permutations of EPsCm, EPC and PMC execution criteria.
o Coordination with local permitting consultants to understand the regulatory requirements (land acquisition, soil investigation, Architectural design, M&E design etc.)
o Developing construction contracting strategies, SQS strategies, strategies towards customs handling and inland transportation, close-out and audit requirements in-line to BASF global definition guidelines.
o Developing Project execution taskforce, Interface management, Project planning and scheduling requirements incl. WBS and Change order procedures, cost estimation and cost controlling methods, Contract and Procurement strategies etc.
Dual role: Project & Program Procurement Management: (Delegation: Germany: 2021 ~ 2022; China: 2022~2025)
o Mega Project Investment (10 Bn $) at Zhanjiang Verbund Site, Guangdong province, PRC - Nov’2020 until Jun’2025.
o Multiple cluster sites with EPsCm and EPC based execution with dual role since its inception in 2020.
o Defining and preparation of Program Execution Procedure: Preparation of strategies together with Project clusters.
o Preparing templates for P2S, S2C and P2P segments.
o For Program Procurement Execution: Bidder list preparation; Cost estimation and budgeting, technical clarification monitoring and commercial evaluations; Negotiating T&Cs, Project Execution Management, risk mitigation etc.
o For Project Procurement-as PPM, coordinating with Category team on bidder list alignment, taking inputs from Project management as well as other stakeholders and managing the EPsCm deliverables.
Project Management for 1 investment in Singapore, Project Procurement & Contract Management: for 4 large capital project investments in Malaysia and Singapore: 2014 ~ 2020
o 2 projects in Singapore (Tuas & Jurong Island) - for Agro BU and Leather chemicals unit
o 1 project at Johor Malaysia - for Dispersion Chemicals unit
o 2 projects at Kuantan Malaysia - for Chemical Intermediates and UG
• Single focal point from Procurement for project coordination for capital investment: 4 LCPs
o Collating the material and service demand - mapping with supplier & Contractor capabilities.
o Preparing Procurement and Contracting strategy and plan; spending and schedule targets.
o Creating value addition through cost optimization and risk assessment periodically.
o Project execution management collaborating with all stakeholders.
• Project Management (Pilot experience) for 1 Large Capital Investment in Singapore:
o Coordination with stakeholders of Technology, Operations, Engineering during conceptual study phase and understanding the deliverables before Requirement consolidation.
