Covenant University Centre for Commercialization and
Product Development
* Review the University’s policy on commercialization for approval by the
Board of Regents.
* Successfully commercialized the first research products in the history of
Covenant University.
* Works assiduously with other team members to develop a template for the
pricing of the products which was acceptable to all parties.
* Spearheading the production processes of the commercialized products.
Two consecutives orders were placed and delivered successfully.
* Assist the University in earning additional incomes from the
commercialised products.
* Involved in the evaluation of research clusters in the university in the bid
to reposition them for maximum productivity.
* Facilitate the meeting between Manufacturing Association of Nigeria and
Covenant University team for collaboration.
* Assistant team lead to Abuja Expo organized by the Federal Ministry of
Science and Technology in year 2021 and 2020.
* Running a webinar series on research products and commercialization to
the University faculty and staff.
* Preparing and registering Covenant University’s products for patenting
and copyright.
* Reviewing the commercialization’s policy to ensure it complies with the
global best practices.
Responsible for students project/thesis supervision
* Successfully supervised over THIRTY (30)project students and award of
marks
Directing the affairs of the Centre for conformity with the University’s
policy.
* Coordinate the academic activities of the Part-time weekend programme
across the university colleges and departments.
* Working with various departments to ensure courses are properly allocated
and taught.

* Put internal mechanism to ensure courses assigned are taught.
* Organize academic and industry partnership for the students.
* Managing the school fees of the students to in terms of spread to cater for
the indigent students.
* Preparing the students for examination by organizing seminars on how to
approach their exams.

* Facilitate the signing of MOU with MOD/IELTS. An English testing
examination. Training school was also provided to prepare the candidates
writing the test do well.

Chair, Audit Committee
* Developing and designing internal control measures for the business unit
to guard against any infractions and loopholes.
* Overseeing the audit section and providing trainings for the staff.
* Setting a strategic vision and redesigning and reposition the unit for
productivity.
* Ensuring the quality of raw materials is sourced and prompt payment to
the suppliers.
* Designing a system to reduce cost of production by introducing bulk
purchase and direct negotiations of contracts.
* Provide oversight functions on the non-current assets of the organization
for maximum use and returns.
* Reviewing the yearly budget of the establishment for board approval
* Rebranding the transport section of the unit for productivity
* Reposition the marketing section of the unit by expanding the reach of the
various products and create additional outlets for the products
* Reviewing and appraising various units heads and comparing their
expected outputs to the actual outputs to determine performance and
rewards.

* Re-designing the curriculum and course contents for undergraduate and
postgraduate accounting courses
* Assigning courses to other faculty and monitoring compliance
