Software Developer (Centura Gupta + Sybase)
Worked on an existing application suite for US based company.
My role in the company was to apply fixes and/or changes to the base code as designed by the senior business analysts.
The Cape Town office was a satellite branch focused on Development, with the head office being in California.
My role with Appleton was to design and built a
"light CRM" system.
This application integrated with other financial systems to kept track of customers and interactions with customers.
It also tracked the financial health for these customers across multiple currencies and countries.
(I built the system from concept to deployment in 4 months by leveraging off a code generator that I purpose built for this role.)
The company was taken over by PSG, during that process the IT department was disband and all IT staff were retrenched.
After leaving the Civil Engineering field, I started freelancing as a VB/ASP developer. Initially the contracts were small, but as my skill grew, so did my customer base.

* Shipping system - Armscor
* Printing estimation application
* Enhancements to existing systems (Bayer).
* Web auction site - Second hand cars and car parts.
* Debt collection tracking system - Superior arms, handgun distributor.
* Compumedix - small ITS enterprise servicing small to medium sized business (complete ITS solutions)
