• Manage and direct a team of Engineers in the day to day operations and maintenance of Data Center’s critical equipment’s.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance procedures at 3 Data Center sites within the UAE.
• Adhere to company policy and global procedures and ensure that these are being implemented throughout all the sites.
• Review all contractor method statements and risk assessments prior to them gaining access to site.
• Conduct 3rd party contractor performance evaluations every quarter.
• Conduct employee evaluations every quarter.
• Obtain AMC’s for all specialist equipment from 3rd party contractors.
• Provide engineering solutions to improve operation of the facility.
• Produce weekly system reports including power consumption, cooling capacity etc.
• Manage the critical spares stores and provide solutions to track stocks.
• Assist the project team on current projects.
• Produce budget forecasts, and cost control reports.
• Collate and review all Facilities Management reports, ensuring all appropriate tests have been carried out in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule.
• Manage and review contractor maintenance contracts.

Supervise and directs a team of Engineering supervisors and technicians to achieve the objectives of day to day maintenance of critical equipment’s, monitoring and control in an integrated and sustained manner.
•Responsible for overall operation and maintenance of the Data Centre facility’s Electrical, UPS system - 2.2MW x 8 (Diesel rotary uninterrupted power system, ) HVAC (Centrifugal Chiller capacity up to 2900Kw x 6Nos), Fire Fighting, Building Management system, Plumbing services etc.
•Preparing thermography reports,
•Coordinates and reports on the work of the specialist Maintenance Contractors to ensure smooth flow of maintenance activities.
•Preparation and Processing of System reports, Incident reports, Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Operating Procedures, Duty roster and etc.
•Manage the critical spare stores
•Manage CAFAM system (BEIMS) & Building management system (Siemens).
•Conduct Tool Box talks, Monthly test and Switching schedule talks for the site engineering team

Hardware maintenance technician on CCTV and security systems for UAE Homeland Security/Critical Infrasructure and Oil and Gas Industry
Perform maintenance at basic and intermediate level - provide proactive and corrective maintenance to large scale and advanced systems and sensors that include a variety of electronic/electro optic equipment, radars, cameras and smart fences
Execute technical processes including corrective, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and assembly and disassembly of the systems components
Capability to work with multinational cultures - the role includes working in a very unique social environment with many nationalities and demands great interpersonal skills, maturity and tolerance

Design, Install, Commission, Test and maintain new camp builds. Also manage a team of electricians during the process. The project took place in Iraq where I faced many challenges i.e. talking to different nationalities, the procurement of materials, working in a remote location, working in a high risk area etc. I was responsible for compiling material lists then also finding the correct suppliers of materials and arranging delivery of them to site. Once the camp was built I would then undertake the responsibility of maintaining the camp and ensuring that the camp ran smoothly. in order to do this I had to write up a PPM schedule and also a reporting system for the workers to follow to allow any works to be carried out in a timely manner.

Taking control of all electrical installation projects within the construction BU. Managing a team of electricians throughout the project and ensuring all works are done to the BS7671 electrical regulations. Monitoring project costs, gathering material lists for projects and also managing the HSE on the projects for all trades. I would have to write up daily, weekly and monthly reports for every project that we had ongoing and submit these to the project manager. I would also have to do timesheets for all the workers on the project and also keep a close eye on material stock and re-order any materials that were needed.

I would carry out routine maintenance on various types of equipment from AHU, supply and extract fan units, boilers (both gas and water), electrical systems etc. The company had lots of different contracts and as well as doing preventative maintenance we would also carry out corrective maintenance too. this role gave me a better insight to different trades and I learned a lot from the job by working with some of the other engineers. most of the time I would be working alone and this is where I met a lot of challenges of which I always managed to overcome. I realized that I excelled at certain faults than others. my main expertise would be fault finding on PLC boards and I was often used as a go to guy for the other engineers when they became stuck at a problem they would be at. The company also done some installation work and with any electrical jobs I was always handed them along with a couple of other men to help with the work. any time I was given these jobs I would lead the team and we would complete the job on time and to a very high standard.
