Data Intensity, LLC is a leader in Oracle consulting and private Cloud hosting services, We mange to host more 150+ customers in our Boston Data Center. I am working as Sr.Storage Engineer who manages all the Storage maintenance and life cycle, We have recently migrate all our NetApp 7 mode systems to cDOT clusters, All the legacy 3PAR block storage to PURE flash array.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Technical lead for all storage Related task
•Primary contact for all storage migrations
•Involved in capacity planning and design
•Drive day to day operations and work plan allocation/management
•Direct interface with all Customer lead for Storage planning and migrations
Achievement
I have recognized as the employee of the Quarter for the extensive migrations done, We have empty out all the legacy NFS and Block storage to new Flash arrays.

Teradyne, Inc. have deployed networked storage infrastructure (SAN and NAS) across 10 locations worldwide to support their various business and engineering applications. As storage and Unix Admin my responsibilities include managing steady state operations as well as working as key person for various transformation projects such as storage upgrade, technology refreshes, data center migrations, etc. I had been deputed to client location Teradyne Agoura Hills California for 3 years and I was responsible for all Data center related tasks including Data center management, DC migrations and upgrades

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Single point of contact for the technical tower in front of the customer management
•Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager
•Responsible for Vendor management and people management
•Drive day to day operations and work plan allocation/management
•Weekly and monthly status reports to higher management
•Participate in business meetings with various stake holders
•Take corrective actions based on the customer satisfaction surveys
•Drive service improvement programs
•Authoring and maintaining configuration documents such as Run Books, connectivity diagram, etc. Knowledge transfer to team members for proposed or deployed configuration changes
•Frequent communication and meetings with client, business managers or application owners to understand capacity and performance requirements for existing applications or ongoing/upcoming projects.
•Capacity planning - estimate growth of storage capacity or performance utilization over a period of time and propose, implement hardware upgrades by adding disk shelf or upgrading storage array to meet the requirement. Migrate data between storage arrays (or within array) if necessary.
•Frequent meeting with vendors to understand roadmap of new solutions, evaluate if possible and propose solution to client
•Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.
•Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects
•Perform Storage Administration tasks that include:
•Installation, configuration and administration of NetApp and EMC Storage arrays including storage provisioning, management of RAID-pool or aggregate, volumes, qtrees, LUNs, quota, CIFS and NFS shares, mixed protocol access, user account management, etc.
•Provisioning block (SAN) storage in multi-OS environment.
•Provisioning file (NAS) Storage in NFS, CIFS or mixed protocol environment.
•Online backup of critical volumes by configuring snapshots(SnapView, Timefinder or NetApp - SnapShot), clones (EMC -SnapView/Timefinder, NetApp - FlexClone) or mirrors (MirrorView, SRDF or SnapMirror)
•Configuration and management of replication between two sites for disaster recovery
•Performance enhancement by implementing FAST Cache, Flash Cache or SSD
•Improve storage capacity utilization by implementing Storage Tiering policies.
•SAN Management: Configuration and management of FC SAN for large data centres, implement IP SAN (iSCSI) for smaller data centres, configure FCIP for replication between two sites
•Automate backup and cloning of Oracle databases by using EMC - Replication Manager or NetApp - SnapManager (SMO)
•Install, configure and manage centralized management and monitoring tools like EMC Control Center, NetApp - OnCommand Core, Unified Manager, EMC - Connectrix Manager, Solarwinds (Tek-tools) Storage Profiler, etc.
•Alert management using array based tools, centralized monitoring tools or SNMP traps
•Performance data collection and analysis using array based tools or centralized monitoring tools
•Troubleshoot performance, connectivity or access issues
•Follow vendor support website or communication (ETA/Bulletin) to understand new known software or hardware issues, bugs, etc and perform upgrades as necessary
