• Spearheaded end-to-end greenfield setup of a new seafood processing plant specializing in salmon,
local fish, and shrimp (5 Tons/day capacity), covering infrastructure planning, facility layout design, and
process flow development from scratch.
• Led procurement of all plant machinery (IQF, Blast Freezer, SVP, MAP, Metal Detector) and equipment;
conducted technical evaluations, vendor negotiations, and sourcing aligned with production capacity,
hygiene standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Established and implemented comprehensive food safety and quality management systems prior to
plant commissioning, ensuring full compliance with SFDA regulations, GMP, HACCP principles, FSSC
22000 requirements, and applicable Saudi food laws.
• Managed all pre-operational legal and regulatory requirements; coordinated with government authorities
to obtain factory licenses, municipal approvals, and operational permits before plant launch.
• Drove successful attainment of key food safety certifications post-launch, including SFDA facility
registration and food safety management system certifications, ensuring plant operations comply with all
applicable standards from day one.
• Oversaw quality control and assurance operations across all product lines (salmon, local fish, shrimp) by
preparing and implementing SOP, SSOP, GMP, HACCP processing protocols, microbiological testing
regimes, supplier qualification, raw material standards, cold-chain management systems, traceability
systems, packaging & labelling requirements, calibration, pest management, waste management,
internal audits, third-party audits, and certification processes.
• Recruited, trained, and developed plant personnel across production, quality, and hygiene functions;
built operational capability and instilled a food safety culture from the ground up.
