Head - Electrical and Instrumentation, - Responsibilities included detail engineering and proposal engineering of oil and gas projects for electrical and instrumentation groups, supervision of training, development, and recruitment. Projects handled - ONGC Hazira and Uran Oil and Gas Projects, NFL Bhatinda and Panipat Fertilizers Projects, KOC (Kuwait Oil Company) GC-17 Debottlenecking and Saudi Aramco Midyan Gas Processing Facility etc
Establishing instrumentation department; recruitment and training; and detail engineering and design of offshore oil and gas such as FPSO, offshore platforms, semi-submersible rigs, drill-ships, etc., for instrumentation and telecommunication.

• Gazflot Semi-Submersible Mobile Drilling Unit for Gazprom;
• Proposal and FEED for Goliat FPSO (110, 000 BOPD) of Eni Norge
• FEED and Detail engineering for Jordbaer FPSO (63, 000 BOPD) of British Gas in North Sea
• FEED for a Generic FPSO
• Review of detail design for ONGC Vasai East platform Development Project.
Worked as Engineering Group Supervisor for Control Systems leading a group of 17 engineers and designers for GASCO (Abu Dhabi) 1.2 Billion USD Asab Gas Development Project Phase II at Bechtel, New Delhi.
Project executed: EPC Asab Gas Development Project Phase II of GASCO, Abu Dhabi, processing capacity 780 MMSCFD.
Technical Professional - Instruments, Worked for British Petroleum onshore Sangachal Terminal Expansion Project (STEP) for ACG and Shah Deniz Projects. The terminal receives oil from offshore ACG (Azeri Chirag Gunashli) and gas from offshore Shah Deniz fields in Caspian Sea. Worked for detail engineering including SIL/HAZOP review, ICSS, field instrument etc
Jan 2002 - Jul 2003 : Equiva Low Sulphur Gasoline Project, USA
Lead Control Systems Engineer leading Equiva Low Sulphur Gasoline Project based on CD Tech technology for Texaco and Shell refineries at Convent, Louisiana and Deer Park, Texas USA. Was in Bechtel, Houston office for six months and then completed the job at India office. Work included all detail engineering activities.

Lead Control Systems engineer for 470 MW combined cycle Power Project.
Sep 1999 to Sep 2000: Bajio Power Project, Mexico
Control Systems engineer for Bajio Power Project 700 MW combined cycle power plant.
Nov 1998 to Aug 1999: Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (HPL), Haldia, West Bengal, India
Worked as Project Management Consultants, Deputy to Control Systems Manager for 1.3 billion USD Haldia Petrochemicals Project, the biggest petrochemicals project at eastern side of India with plants such as Naphtha Cracker Plant, PP, HDPE, LLDPE, and BBH plants.
Aug 1996 to Oct 1998: Reliance Petroleum Project, Jamnagar Refinery, Gujarat, India
Lead Control Systems Engineer for Merox units and Offsites and Utilities for Reliance Petroleum Project (5 billion USD) at Jamnagar, the biggest grass root refinery in the world.
Mar 1996 to Jul 1996: Haldia Petrochemicals Project, Haldia, West Bengal, India
Control Systems Engineer for Basic Engineering package for Offsites and Utilities of Haldia Petrochemicals Project.
Responsibilities included design, engineering, commissioning, modifications, operations and maintenance etc. for the following plants/projects: Olefins, Aromatics, VCM, PVC, Acrylonitrile, PP, LDPE and Acrylic Fibre plants, etc. Revamping of obsolete instrumentation for Naphtha Cracker Plant by Honeywell TDC-3000 system, Scoping study for revamping of old instrumentation by modern DCS systems LDPE, PP, VCM and PVC, Commissioning of dry spun acrylic fibre plant.
