• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or
serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food- handling practices.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the
temperature of ovens, boilers and grills.
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old
and new items, and rotating stock.
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgement and experience.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen
utensils and equipment.
• Works with staffto develop menus for weekly functions and chef specials.

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Prepare and cook special meals for clients as instructed by Chef.
• Help, supervise kitchen helpers and apprentices.
• Follow the hotel policies and procedures and adhere to the grooming policies.
• Other duties as required.
