Ensuring the implementation of applicable safety regulations in line with Client requirement, Labor laws and other recognized international safety standards
Assisting the Resident Engineer with implementation of the Project HSE program and OH&S management plan
Work collaboratively with contractor HSE for improved site wide safety performance
Review and approve Contractor(s) OH&S Plan and SOP’s
Review, comments and approve Method Statement and Risk Assessment
Prepare periodic OH&S performance reports
Prepare regular OH&S inspection and observation reports
Track the closure of SOR, SI & NCR issued to the contractor
Complete OH&S assessments and organize and carry out OH&S audits as per client requirements
Following-up all pending actions, recommendations and non-compliances for immediate rectifications and necessary corrections by Project Management.
Participating in meetings to communicate Health & Safety issues with contractor, PMCM and client
Review / assess contractor & subcontractor pre-qualification documentations
Analyze injury data and produce technical reports and recommendations.
Attend operational, management and employee safety committee meetings.
Developing and maintaining good working relations with clients
Analyzing work activities & identifying hazards in terms of operations such as lifting, working at height, chemical handling,
operating machinery, excavation, hot works, working in confined space, etc.
Overseeing the placement of tools, equipment's, machineries & accessories in best working condition by implementing maintenance
regime program.
Prepares Safety program for specific work description in compliance to standard legislation & related policies applied.
Ensure the results of safety inspections are documented; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations
for ways to improve the safety culture
Responsible for planning preventive maintenance programs for plants & equipment and arranging for third party certificates for
equipment tools & machineries;
Kept records and maintained all safety equipment as required for the execution of projects.
Handling enforcement of Work Permits
Ensuring selection, strict compliance & maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment's (PPEs)
Formulating accident / incident reports to find out the causes and implementing proper preventive measures
Investigating all accidents & near misses for root causes & recommendations to prevent recurrence, creating reports and following
up on recommendation
Prepare Incident Preventive Bulletin (IPB) for accidents and near misses and disseminate to all in the project for recurrence
Inspection of lifting tools and tackles, Cranes, Wire ropes etc. for safe working load, test certificates, validity, damages
Proficient in conducting Safety Internal Audits & Risk Assessment and exemplifying a positive proactive attitude towards maintaining risk free working conditions.

Insightful experience in investigating the near misses & accidents; inspecting machinery, equipment & workplaces and ensuring that suitable protective equipment such as hearing protection, dust pollution protection & PPE are provided and used correctly.
Lead Junior Safety Officers and Safety Assistants and provide a daily summary report of field HSE issues and activities including HSE documentation; risk assessments, JSAs, toolbox talks produced, and daily observation report for the HSE Manager.
