QHSE governance, Provide vision, leadership and technical expertise in the areas of QHSE; advise executive management on loss control and risk reduction strategies.
Institute an effective QHSE Management system in all Group facilities/Verticals/Projects in line with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and customer requirements.
Ensure that Quality & HSE risks, Incident, Emergency, Audit, Training Management Systems and wellbeing policies is in place and followed across the projects/organization. Arrange periodic QHSE audits.
Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and upcoming quality, health and safety legislation and ensure that organization has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and other requirements.

Identify & implement the key performance indicators for tracking QHSE performance and report the performance to CEO & Board of Directors.
Design and drive positive quality and HSE culture across the organisation. Promote HSE intervention and training.
Lead, mentor & coach the QHSE team. Manage the department and budget.
Digitalise HSE business processes.
Provide support for driving sustainability and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) at organisational level
Convener- Pan L&T EHS Council .Conduct L&T EHS Council review, Roll-out and implementation of EHS Council Initiatives
Attend Board Meetings when required as part of HSE governance requirements
Liaise with Stakeholder like Government, Clients & Investors and represent L&T at external bodies like CII, AIChE, FIPI, ASSP etc.
Lead Carbon and Water neutrality Initiatives. Orchestrate the ESG.
Drive EHS Council (Pan L&T) initiatives.

Corporate Sustainability
Provide support to monitor company ESG performance and Sustainability disclosure. Overview development and design of internal sustainability report according to GRI Standards. Conduct stakeholder engagement for Vendors, Clients and Employee. New initiatives towards sustainable/green development. Conduct Stakeholder Engagement for Client/Vendor/employees .Assist Business Units’ external assurance audits. Support and implement environmental initiatives across L&T Group of companies. Ensure Training to employees in Sustainability practices, procedures and conduct awareness sessions on company initiatives. Promote Environment campaigns.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Identify and develop CSR project in accordance with Company Bill 2013, Project budget monitoring, Ensure implementation of CSR Projects- Need Assessment, Kick Off Meetings, Project Reviews and Handover, Submit CSR MIS quarterly/yearly to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of asset level risk management and crisis management of operations and projects
• Management of the Asset Health Safety & Environment Management System (HSEMS) including development, implementation, enforcement and updating for continuous improvements aligned to corporate HSE objectives
• Maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal sections and external entities
• Organize and participate in HSE risk assessments of various assets and SIMOPS and follow up implementation of mitigation plans
• Audit operational activities of the asset to monitor adherence to HSEMS, policies & procedures and recommend improvement measures
• Drive the implementation of the permit to work (PTW) system and recommend measures for improving PTW effectiveness
• As the Focal Point, anchor the implementation of all requirements to assure process safety
• Conduct gap analysis and develop gap closure plan for managing process safety risks
• Identify all significant process safety risks in accordance with the company risk management procedure (ALARP) and conduct process safety audits
• Develop process safety KPIs and reporting process safety performance indicators (OGP); review HSEIA and COMAH reports including QRA and other risk management studies
• Implement process safety basic requirements and document Hazards and Effects Management Processes
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID ENVID workshops and manage facilitation of HAZOP/HAZID
• Assure compliance with the requirements of the company’s Loss Prevention policy and procedures
