Sr. Engineer -Quality
Scientechnic is a Multi divisional company with 12 branches with more than 500 employees. The group has a range of diverse product and business that include Retail, Projects & Trading, Manufacturing and Joint Ventures.
I am working in Sheet metal enclosures and components manufacturing division which supply parts to SIEMENS and manufacturing SCT brand small, medium and large distribution panels.
Major Acivements:
• Successful Implimentation and maintenance of ISO 9001-2008 in the plant
• Successful Implimentation and maintenance of 5’S System in the plant
Roles & Responsibilities
• Oversee the Quality department functions and ensure full compliance with the global QMS and Customer requirements.
• Develop quality plans, operational procedures, quality assurance and quality detection systems, control points, quality measures and process qualifications, including training of personnel, monitoring and testing.
• Ensure day to day inspection activities of sheet metal components are carried out as per specifications and customer requirements in timely manner.
• Planning, conducting, and directing audits of products, processes, QMS and safety systems
• Educating, evaluating and qualifying suppliers/sub-contractors, new and existing for an enhanced business cooperation and continuity.
• New product Development and Process FMEA
• Process improvement based on the analyzed statistical data and Cost of Poor Quality.
• Define and set metrics for both internal and external quality performance.
• Review and analyze Route cause of customer complaints, warranty returns, scrap, rework, manufacturing non-conformances and its Corrective/Preventive Action
• Developing technical training materials and conducting trainings to QC Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineers and manufacturing personnel
• Ensure that the calibrations of all the inspection equipment used in manufacturing are up-to-date.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
• Ensure documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Actively demonstrate, encourage and promote correct Health, Safety, Security and Environmental behaviors and best practice at any work location.

Supplier Quality Engineer
Bobst India is a part of Swiss multinational, BOBST GROUP having thirty companies around the globe, a market leader in manufacturing and supply of hi-tech special purpose machines for folding carton, corrugated board and flexible material
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Supplier Quality Management and Supplier process improvement
• Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
• Working with the supplier directly, create corrective action plans to address process failures.
• Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
• Regularly communicate with Engineering, Quality Engineering and Supply Chain internally to identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement.
• Collect and maintain supplier performance metrics.
• Coordinate with Technical Support, Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical Support to ensure awareness to known purchased part or product quality issues.
• Participate in ECO meeting to ensure awareness to design changes. Ensure implementation is in accordance with 1st article process.
• Regularly visit suppliers and assist Supply Chain in conducting Supplier Audits.
2. Support corrective action process
• Participate in QMS meetings and present purchased part or product quality issues.
• Investigate reported external quality issues that are believed to be purchased part or product driven and present findings at QMS meetings.
• Perform or lead root cause analysis on purchased part or product quality issues and work issue through containment phase of corrective action process.
• Communicate and instruct suppliers on the use of a corrective action process and quality tools & techniques.
• Participate in the Corrective Action Review Board (CAR)
3. Support Supplier Qualification and Disqualification
• Maintain supplier audit results.
• Identify repeat quality issues by supplier and maintain supplier quality scorecard.
• Recommend suppliers for qualification and / or disqualification based upon quality performance.

• Handling Customer complaint activities and initiating proper action plan.
• Supplier quality and vendor development.
• Calibration control of all measuring instruments.
• Train quality team members and others.
