Key Result Areas:
•Preparing & issuing Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with the selected vendors, price & technical specifications; comparing vendor price list, following up with supplier on delivery and order acknowledgement
•Checking the consignment before dispatches & processing orders to ensure quick & correct delivery to attain timely completion of monthly targets
•Collaborating with customer, forwarder, supplier, warehouse team for payment, transport documents, shipping details from customer, forwarding all necessary shipping documents while ensuring timely collection of goods & proper invoicing after shipment as per incoterms
•Interacting with export customers for arranging advance payments and LCs; forwarding advance copies of shipping documents to the export customers
•Streamlining department processes & procedures to determine optimum staffing levels; instituting metrics to document cost savings, purchase requisition turnaround, and number of Purchase Orders (POs) issued
