Responsible of developing and leading the communication, public awareness strategy and crisis communication plan for
Ministry of energy and mineral resources in Jordan (MEMR) and Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission to support the
implementation of new energy reform.
• Provided strategic government communications support for our client by strategizing and planning an integrated
communication strategy for the new reform.
• Built a crisis communication plan with different scenarios and holding statements to prepare officials to effectively
respond to any emergencies and negative public crises.
• Developed the stakeholder mapping plan, supervised the Media mapping plan and oversaw and reviewed sentiment
analysis provided by the media monitoring & Social listening team.
• Developed key messages, briefing documents and media training for relevant spokespeople
• Managed the press office team and provided a robust system and process to ensure an effective response to media
enquiries and maximise positive coverage/ sentiment.
• Successfully achieved the campaign objectives with the vast majority (77%) of media being either positive or neutral in
sentiment. The uplift in coverage coupled with these sentiments demonstrates that the reforms were successfully
announced.
• Worked with the creative team to ensure advertising campaign and Social Media visuals are in line with the campaign
objectives and effectively convey critical messages.
• Synergized communications efforts for this campaign between the MEMR, EMRC and other government entities
including the prime minister office, the ministry of finance.
