- Lead engineer for the network build, deployments, migrations, and production support.
- Provide administration for all aspects of network operations including Routing, Switching, Wireless, VOIP, Firewalls, IPS, VPN, IPSec, Load Balancing and content filtering.
- Accountable for network designing, end to end project management and operation of data-center, campus and branch networks.
- Act as a final escalation point for L3 network issues with 24x7 support.
- Hands on experience on Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Citrix devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers etc.
- Serving as a key representative and subject matter expert on major network initiatives.
- Responsible for network/voice infrastructure capacity planning. Develop & control yearly capex expenditure, initiate smart spending and cost saving initiatives.
- Providing solutions to improve the current network environment
- Contributing to the overall strategy, design and documentation of network expansion and modernization.
- Conducts periodic audits of new and existing implementations to ensure compliance with security standards like ISO and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborating with business users, technical staff and management to define business and technical requirements.
- Planning and executing business continuity plan, including disaster recovery.
- Supporting business users and the application teams in their digital initiatives.
- Leading a team of 12 regional network engineers for CITI APAC network integration.
- Lead the team for data-centers/campus/branches & 3rd-party network setup and migrations.
- Designing, implementing, documentation and support of global converged network technologies.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert support for designing & implementation issues, working with other engineering groups on cross discipline architectures, and providing cost-effective and secure network engineering solutions for critical systems.
- Lead the deployment of network devices including Nexus 7010/5010, 5020, 5548, 5596/2000 series, Nexus Virtualization, Cisco ASR1000/7600/7200/7301/7304, Cisco ISR 28/29k/38k/39k, Cisco 3750G/3750E, 29xx, 6500, 4500, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls etc across the APAC region.
- Designing and Implementation of WAN acceleration & Optimization using Riverbed etc.
- Reviewing & approving the regional network changes raised by other in country engineers.
- Peer review for the regional network designs (HLD & LLD) for establishing the new sites across the APAC region.
- Designing & troubleshooting of MPLS, BGP, ATM routers, OSPF, IPSec tunnels, Load balancers, Firewalls- Fortinet/Cisco ASA/Palo Alto Firewalls, and Switching technologies etc.
- Schedule and lead the project meetings on weekly basis to track the milestones achieved.
Responsible for raising & executing the network changes across the APAC region.
- Installation and configuration of different network devices including cisco & juniper routers, switches, fortinet & Palo Alto firewalls, load balancers etc across the APAC region.
- Coordinate with different in-country engineers to deploy the changes across the datacenters, campus and branch networks.
- Preparation of the Bill of material.
- End to end management of the assigned projects right from Initiation, planning, procurement, execution till the handover to the operations.
Responsible for the network support & project implementation.
- Administration of cisco routers, switches, firewalls, IP telephony etc.
- Partcipate in the RFP process for network implementation for the
clients.
