The role with Standard Chartered Bank, being responsible for the cluster MENA (7 GCC and 2 African countries) coordinating the full product-development lifecycle that includes strategic planning of Business continuity, crisis management, Regulatory analysis, BCM testing, TPRM, audits and reporting. Proven ability to ensure stakeholder management to promote team collaboration that led a great confidence across functional and department teams. I was praised by senior leadership for having a sophisticated understanding of customer motivation and a knack for proactively addressing their needs.
Responsible for ensuring Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activations are initiated in line with recovery time objectives by keeping management appraised during any interruption to business, and thereafter responsible for all activities required to ensure BCPs are effectively implemented.
Notify Regional / Group BCM of all BCP related audit activity in country and manage country audit responses.
Monitor local regulatory body for BCM requirements, and with Regional BCM, ensure any gaps are identified and addressed.
Maintain and deliver a BCM testing and assurance activity schedule that includes exercising country IT DR plans.
