• Analyzing Project Specifications Reviewing and understanding detailed project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates. Analyzing incoming project inquiries, tender documents, and client communications to ascertain project requirements.
• Preparing Project Presentations: Creating comprehensive project briefs encompassing detailed built-up areas, HVAC tonnage, and firefighting and plumbing parameters for client review.
• Participating in Project Planning Contributing to the overall project planning process by providing reliable estimates, helping to set realistic timelines and budgets, and supporting the successful execution of projects. Identifying and analyzing project scopes, durations, contract terms, and specifications to ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Request for Information (RFI) Management: Initiating RFIs to clients based on tender documents and design reviews to clarify project specifications and requirements.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Identifying subcontracting needs and preparing documentation for subcontracted works in compliance with project guidelines.
• Reviewing and Updating Estimates Continuously reviewing and updating cost estimates based on changes in project scope, market conditions, and other relevant factors. Developing project checklists encompassing all major requirements to streamline project execution.
• Material Quantity Takeoff: Conducting detailed material quantity takeoffs based on the latest revisions of drawings issued by clients to accurately estimate project needs.
• Supplier Engagement: Floating RFQs to multiple suppliers or vendors to obtain competitive rates and negotiating for cost-effective procurement. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
• Providing Technical & Commercial Support Offering technical support and expertise to the project team, addressing queries related to mechanical estimates and ensuring clarity on all aspects. Performing detailed technical and commercial quote analyses, conducting price comparisons, and maintaining a comprehensive database.
• Compliance and Documentation: Segregating and updating material takeoff quantities into client BOQ formats, preparing detailed equipment, material, and labor costings, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Ensuring all estimates comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
