Responsible for day to day operations of the accounts department. Duties include the general management of the accounting entries, reconciliation of the key account statements, inventory related costing as well as the cost of sales process.
•Supervision of the accounting functions and assisting the team on day to day activities
•Support the various business division (BD’s) in their decision-making process through analyzing the business performance and indicating key trends
•Work closely with the head of finance in forecasting, analyzing and reporting corporate financial results
•Provide detailed analysis to the various departments
•Ensure the reported data is accurate and as per the IFRS standards
•Provide analytical support to functional heads of the organization including operations, logistics, marketing, sales and other key departments
•Help in establishing the annual operating plans(AOP) with the detailed outlet-based budgets
•Periodical Business Reviews: Provide financial expertise to Operations Leaders and Senior Management during periodical business reviews
•Conduct analysis on issues that can have a high impact on the organization's ability to drive profits
Responsible for identifying and reducing business expenses to increase profit. Ensuring that business expenditure is in line with the annual budgets. Adhering to all cost control procedures.
•Costing of existing and new recipes for various promotional activities
•To assist in implementing control systems to ensure cost efficiency by reducing waste and other losses Monitoring of slow moving inventory items at warehouses on timely manner; recommending methods to avoid spoilage and wastage
•Preparing monthly WAC report of major inventory items for management review and computation of its impact on food cost.
•Provide analytical support to functional heads of the organization including operations, logistics, marketing, sales, etc.
•Perform actual vs. budget / forecast analysis and summarize results for Senior Management
•Preparation of Bank reconciliation statements.
•Periodic Business Reviews: Provide financial expertise to Operations Leaders and Senior Management during periodical business reviews.
•Conduct periodic inventory counts at outlets and warehouses to identify the variance and take corrective action to eliminate the variance.
•Central kitchen production process updating in the system.
•Responsible for COGS accounting process
Applebee’s, Kababji, Burj Al Hamam, Ayyame, Sea Food Restaurant, Scoop A Cone, Boost Juice and Taco Bell
Responsible for data gathering, analysis and interpretation of results for International brands operating more that 100+ units in Kuwait and Iraq. Role includes review of operational process and financial risk, identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
•Data collection, analysis, interpretation and monitoring the trading operations of international brands.
•Produce various monthly MIS reports of Brands contribution and evaluate results compared to previous year’s corresponding period.
•Presenting the results of various promotional activities for the Brands to the top Management to facilitate the Management in vital decision-making.
•Analysis of business transactions at restaurant level for the various brands.
•Prepare New Recipe after necessary approval for new product launches and for various promotional activities.
•Analysis of the Food Cost for the brands and report the Food Cost variance
•Compare Computer printouts of Journals and check the postings on to ledger.
•Compile budget data and documents, based on estimated revenues, expenses and prior year data
