o I have worked in two different disciplines within Abu Dhabi & Western Region Maintenance Division. The first discipline is as “Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer” of 400/220/132 kV network, while the second is as “High Voltage Substations Engineer” of the same network.
o ADWEA Strategic Transformation Project “ASTRO” team member in TRANSCO to implement Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 in electricity and water sector.
o Inventory Optimization Committee team member to optimize TRANSCO Store Stocks in more efficient and effective way.
o Prepare and execute the annual maintenance programs for overhead lines, switchgears and transformers.
o Conduct routine, preventive & corrective maintenance work/overhaul of equipment as necessary.
o Troubleshoot equipment faults and implement solutions. Investigate all in-service protection operations, attend emergency faults, issue fault Root-Cause-Analysis reports and make improvement recommendations.
o Lead and manage the substation crews, their day-to-day activities and provide necessities to maintain morale and appropriate behavior of the crews.
o Develop maintenance manpower and upgrade personal technical skills and knowledge.
o Facilitate the procurement of materials, contracts and other services to support the maintenance and operation of assets.
o Study proposals of projects supplier prequalification and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
o Maintain asset databases and manuals.
o Develop and conduct training for safe working procedures within relevant discipline and coach safe working practices.
o Accountable as an Authorized Person for the operation of HV equipment and the preparation, issue and cancellation of the required safety documents in compliance with TRANSCO System Safety Rules.
o Manage workflow for the assets operation and maintenance includes planning and execution of activities from pre-planning through application for work, execution, monitoring of on-site activities and completion of works by way of completing work orders.
