Worked on the feasibility, due diligence, site analysis, planning and the implementation of a sustainable real estate development strategy. In parallel, I am working with the same client to identify and penetrate other international markets.

Promoted to Country Director SmartCity Malta project in 2012 due to my result driven approach. Tasked with formulating and executing strategic initiatives in both the international and local level to cultivate short/mid/long-term leads. Manage multiple market researches both internally and through external third parties to indentify and define product specification, mix and phasing. Key player in our global go-to-market strategy to establish and build our B2B channels. Regular contact with key management and government stakeholders to ensure the continued unhindered growth of our project.

As Country Director (SmartCity Malta), restructured operations, doubled the project’s occupancy within 3 months. Some of my responsibilities:

• Generated commercial opportunities, led sales and lease of properties from local & international investors.
• Developed and executed initiatives to source short & long term leads from domestic & global customers.
• Liaised with external parties and agencies, developed sales channels and met annual sales target.

Initially hired as Operations Specialist, advancing rapidly due to exceptional performance. Led a team of 20 employees engaged in a variety of start-up activities, working with technicians and consultants. Managed retail, business and wholesale billing and collection, setting strategy and monitoring key performance indicators. Coached and mentored team members. Resolved escalated issues. Continuously reviewed and improved business functions. Deployed new credit protocols to significantly reduce debt and strengthen controls. Created reports and presented status to senior team. Spearheaded billing system logic implementation.

Key Accomplishments:
• Joined Nawras (Telecom operator) as a specialist and quickly got promoted to Section Head and finally to Department Head or two departments; Operations and Collections.
• Part of the team that successfully launched Mobile Number Portability for the first time in Oman, through extensive planning and execution.
• Built the billing & collection teams while creating professional policies, procedures and operational infrastructure for billing and collection teams, thoroughly documenting practices and standards.
• Took over as the collections department head and was instrumental in the improvement of outstanding debt by 50% through customizing the debt collection process, bring it inline with market conditions.

Managed portfolio of 40+ companies in a variety of industries, leveraging intensive training to deliver corporate lending services. Created quarterly corporate credit review reports for CEO and Board of Directors. Played key role in analysis of corporate lending model as well as corporate credit process reengineering. Led divisional deployment of a new management information system. Monitored irregular accounts and rapidly resolved discrepancies. Collaborated with team members to provide crucial financial information to the Central Bank of Oman.
