In-charge for overseeing all Mechanical and Electrical works
Ensure the MEP work carried out is as per approved shop drawing and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program.
Ensure that the installation, inspection and testing of all the MEP equipment, fittings and work implemented meets the specification and the consultant requirements
Verify the accuracy of shop drawings and their compliance to the specification, consultant’s design and existing local authority standard.
Review consultant’s design and specification
Complete responsibility to decide on day to day work that needs to be carried out by subordinates including: scheduling of activities, assigning task to groups or individuals, accuracy of work conducted, supplying resources and dealing with operational issues and problems.
Coordinate with other project personnel to ensure that deadlines, procedures, and other project requirements are met.
Liaise with local authorities for the approval of MEP services drawings and service connection.
Prepare shop drawing & material submittals for consultant’s approval.
Checking all drawings related to Mechanical and builders works drawings
Inspection of all project Mechanical materials against approved material submittals and/or project specs, delivery notes etc.
Inspection of ongoing site installations of Electrical / Mechanical works against approved shop drawings, local codes, manufacturer recommendations, international codes & standards
Checking all work clearances and ensure that the Electrical / Mechanical works were finished and inspected
Preparing & updating project related Logs “MIR, WIR, Clearance, RFI, Method Statements, NCR and O&M Manuals
Raise and close all non- conformance reports
Coordinating with Main Contractor /Consultants for Approval of Materials & Installation of Electrical / Mechanical works
Monitoring the status of calibrated instruments to ensure that they are calibrated either internally or externally
Maintain Quality Management System in the projects
Assisting MEP QAQC Manager in preparation & implementation of method statements, project quality plan, testing plan, checklists and O&M manual
Preparation and submission of monthly quality statistical report to MEP QAQC Manager
Any additional responsibilities assigned by superiors
