• Became conversant with the management and technical duties of the professional engineers in the network infrastructure department. I was also given an orientation about the networking equipment and devices in use
• Completed a wide range of lessons and labs from the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) online course, which was under the supervision of networking engineers
• Reviewed network and Internet protocols such as TCP, UDP, FTP, and NFS. Moreover, Documented details of configured networks that include IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, subnet and network masks, and MAC addresses
• Examined physical and digital diagrams of networks of various topologies using servers, routers, switches, hubs, and bridges
• Assigned to work with the production and planning department for chips products (Doritos, Forno, Cheetos, a and Lay’s), which mainly dealt with the process area, the packaging area, and the warehouse or storage area
• Attended fundamental courses studying the business structure, safety and protection, key performance indicator (KPI), food quality and safety, and maintenance procedure
• Analyzed and examined the mechanism and operation of the functioning machineries, conveyors, and warehouse robots within the plant
• Worked with a group of three on Waste Management Control Project to develop practical and managerial methods of reducing waste in the plant. The report proposed placing sub-conveyor below the main conveyor, or designing a segmented cylindrical vessel filled with Nitrogen that stores the product when there is an interruption in the packaging and production processes
• Wrote a technical project report about Waste Control Development, providing cost evaluations and reliable solutions to waste problems. The report was discussed and followed by a formal presentation
• Familiarized myself with the department’s units and duties, work orders and structures, maintenance reports and requests, and repair procedures
• Developed a condensed understanding of power equipment installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning in several medium and high voltage power substations, accompanied by electrical engineers. Additionally, I took multiple online power system courses offered by the company
• Gained technical communication skills by writing notification reports and creating work orders with the Maintenance Planning Unit
• Acquired critical thinking and decision making skills by analyzing the switching and isolation points of electrical equipment in the circuit and loop diagrams
• Observed the installation of overhead and underground power lines, and reviewed the calculations of power transmitted and volts carried
• Contributed to practical responsibilities including cleaning, testing, and evaluating power equipment; besides inspecting the operation of switchgears, transformers, and circuit breakers in power plants
