my position as an Internal Auditor, I performed audit engagements in the following processes and functions: procurement, research and development, security affairs, human capital management, general services, and treasury.

Alongside my performance of Internal Audits, I was engaged in the following activities: Risk Assessment, carrying out Audit Committee requirements, appraising external service providers, negotiating with potential service providers, mentoring and supervising national trainees, implementing the requirement of Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority, and developing divisional budget. I was also a member of the Division’s committee responsible for evaluating bids from various contractors.

I worked with the team of Internal Audit Division during a period of huge transformation in the Division and in Takreer as a whole. This is due to the ambitious expansion projects of the Company. Note: I was hired by Takreer as an Internal Auditor after graduating college as an ADNOC scholar. ADNOC’s group of companies have designed a two-year training program for their new joiners with the aim of preparing them to their designated job, which in my case was in Internal Audit. This on-the-job training program surpasses a direct job placement method because of the much broader experience it facilitates. It also enables the trainees to have a more direct interaction with the company’s management during their training period.
