Duties and Responsibilities:
4.1
Operate and maintain the Communication Systems including but not limited to PABX, Intercom, Paging, Television, Clock, Nurse/Patient call and other associated system, to the required standard.
4.2
Troubleshoot and repair defective systems and peripherals.
4.3
Able to design electronic circuits as part of job requirements.
4.4
Assist Chief Communication Technician to supervise the Installation of the Communication Systems and associated peripherals including wiring and interconnection of these systems.
4.5
Assist the Chief Communication Technician to conduct continues training and orientation for the Communication Technical Staff on the department operational policies and procedures.
4.6
Assist the Chief Communication Technician in preparing work schedule for subordinate staff to ensure the support of the Communication Systems as per operational requirements.
4.7
Work on 8-hours shift scheduled in a safe manner within the scope of the Policies and Procedures of the hospital for a continuous 24-hour service to the hospital and comply with each shift schedule.
4.8
Inspire co-workers to attain goals & pursue excellence and develop subordinates through their performance monitoring (Evaluation) and guidance.
4.9
Answer and respond to all calls (ex. Bleeps) and attend support calls after working hours and on weekends during emergencies.
4.10
Comply with the Hospital Policy and Procedures and ensure that the hospital standard and rules are met (ex. Human Resource P&P, Safety P&P, etc)
4.11
Comply with the standards laid down by the Approved International Accreditation Standards.
4.12
Through the chain of command and/or "occurrence variance report", log any incident not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standards of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations, which put patients, staff, or visitors at risk of injury or other harm.
4.13
Perform other applicable tasks and duties within the limit of my knowledge, skills and abilities.
