Roles and Responsibilities
➢ Provided active support to quality management team for overall quality controls & also implemented
QCP & standards. Preparation of Inspection and Test Plan, Construction Quality Procedure and
Method of Statement.
➢ Receiving RFI for Inspected Items and conducting inspection as per ITP. Perform Inspection /
Testing and records result of inspection.
➢ Maintain the relevant application standard, quality plans, drawings and QC procedures.
➢ Maintain the client expectation and follow the organization standard and specifications.
➢ Review of procedures, method statements, ITP, QCP & materials.
➢ Review all applicable documents prior to start welding activities such as approved method of
statements, inspection test plan, welding procedure specifications, materials specifications, drawing,
NDE matrix, codes and standards.
➢ Review of calibration certificates for ovens, welding machines and inspection tools.
➢ Verify that the welders, welding operator and tack welders have been properly qualified, and the
welding is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specification and drawing.
➢ Monitoring on process welding, pre-heat, process variables and heat input calculation if applicable &
Review of the welder qualification test report & Make reports and update inspection summary
➢ Review the maintenance record for Consumables, Monitoring Weld joints preparation & Inspection
of Fit-up and Tack Welds.
➢ Inspection of Fit-up and Tack Welds & Check proper parameters as per Pre-Welding checklist
before, during and after welding
➢ Witness of NDT and review the NDT test reports & Review of inspection reports and daily welding
reports, Review of inspection reports and daily welding reports.
➢ Check the Material Test Certificate chemical composition and the physical properties and check the
material surface condition, thickness, diameter and length.
➢ Verifies that the base materials and welding consumables materials conforms to the approved
specification requirements and that the specified filler materials are used on base metal.
➢ Verify that the welders, welding operator and tack welders have been properly qualified, and the
welding is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specification and drawing.
➢ Verify the material traceability on the materials such as the Heat no. of pipes, spool no. drawing no.
weld no. and weld symbols.
➢ Check the fit-up as per the ISO-drawings and WPS & Review of inspection reports and daily
welding reports.
➢ Surveillance checks the welding parameters and the storage of electrodes as per manufacturer
recommendations.
➢ Monitor the weld repair activity from marking the location of defects, excavation, and welding as per
approved weld repair procedure and welding procedure specification.
➢ Inspection co-ordination with clients & Reviewing Radiography films and NDT Activities.
➢ Follow up the welders are following qualified welding procedures specification and safety precaution
during welding operation.
➢ Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of
engineering construction relating to Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the
multidisciplinary processes.
➢ Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test
results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent
materials delivered and other important QA/QC documents.
➢ Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and
quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of
materials.
➢ Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all
quality manual and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality
of all systems.
➢ Manage to lift of all types of equipment and handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials
and perform quality audits as per required schedule.
➢ Analyze all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the
maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance.
➢ Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyze all processes to ensure all
work according to quality requirements.
➢ Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor
continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all
processes.
➢ Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental
analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
➢ Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant.
➢ Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection.
➢ Report to the QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality.
