 Performance Measurement: Performance Measurement and Reporting to the Management, Investment Teams and clients for Company’s proprietary, funds, portfolios under management and others.


 Strategizing: Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the departmental strategy and plans in order to enable the achievement of departmental needs and objectives.

 Portfolio Evaluation: Provide technical expertise to management and investment teams on interpretation of portfolio performance & asset level analysis to support investment evaluation & appraisal.

 Portfolio Analytics: On-going review and analysis of portfolio construction including asset allocation, benchmarking, attribution analysis, and management of internal performance composites. Design customized analytics to support tactical asset allocation & reporting cycles.
 Risk Measurement and monitoring: Measuring, analyzing and reporting VaR, Volatility and other risk measures to keep the risk under prescribed limits as defined by management and regulators.
 Investment Monitoring: Ensure effective communication with clients, brokers, financial service providers and internal investment staff.

 Managed financial support services team covering various asset classes such as equity, fixed income, Real Estate, Private Equity and others spanning AUM of more than USD 3bln with exposure in GCC, MENA, US and other International Markets.
 Client Reporting: Ensures adherence to client’s reporting needs as per client’s agreements, Company policy and regulatory framework.
 Settlement and Reconciliation Activities: Overseeing the timely settlement and reconciliation activities of the operations department.
 Risk and compliance monitoring: Continual monitoring of regulatory requirements and timely reporting to the regulatory authorities.
 Policies and Procedures: As per the industry requirements, oversee the development of policies and procedures for the department on continual basis.

• Equity Fund Advisory (AUM: USD 270m): Strategic and tactical asset allocation, stock selection according to the client’s risk/return profile, performance measurement, reporting, and application of various risk measurement tools such as VaR, Variance Analysis, Tracking Errors and others.

• Fixed Income Fund management (AUM: USD 72m): Investment universe include bonds issued within Kuwait and other GCC countries. Valuation of unquoted bonds, performance measurement and reporting.

• Institutional Client’s Portfolios (AUM: USD 144m): Monitoring investments in listed securities, equity funds, money market funds, private equity funds, fixed income funds and other unquoted securities, GCC and international macroeconomic analysis and its impact on portfolio/fund performance.

• Identification of investment opportunities & Valuations (up to USD 50m): Providing detailed investment opinion reports on private and public companies on client’s ad-hoc requests. Investment opinion reports include business valuations, due diligence and others. Certain valuations reach up to USD 550m.

• Business Development, Client Engagements and Relationship Management: Business development activity including Portfolio management services, performance measurement, risk advisory and others.

• Monitoring preparation of business plans for the Company involving long term and short term goals.
• Led a team of internal stakeholders and consultants to financially reengineer the company’s balance sheet.
• Streamlined and enhanced the liquidity and working capital cycle of company.
• Led various quality and cost saving projects resulting in significant savings.

• Business planning, capital restructuring and monitoring working capital requirement.
• Efficiently managed working capital requirement of company.

- Supervised accounts department’s overall activities. Major assignment included getting audit work done, day to day operations of the department, and finalization of books of accounts.

- Prepared financial restructuring plan for the company and presented the same to banks and BIFR. BIFR is a body set up by central government of India to revive medium and large scale sick industrial companies.

- Managed Industrial loans, Term loans and others, at subsidized finance cost with banks and financial institutions.

- Independently handled taxation matters with lawyers and Government authorities.

- Coordinated with Workshop Manager in lay off, retrenchment, wage increase, labor inspection by labor department, excise inspection etc.

- Head of Finance Department. Major assignment included day to day operations of the department, finalization of books of accounting, taxation matters and getting audit work done.

- Established effective system of determining cost of production of different jobs given to large number of sub contractors.

- Implemented budgetary control system which required company to plan and incur major expenditures in line with budgetary guidelines.

- Responsible to prepare project reports for new divisions of the company.

- Prepared business plan for the parent and group companies for photovoltaic division, windmill division, lithium batteries division, solar lantern division etc.

- Involved in standard costing of different products and provide remedial measures wherever variances occurred.

- Got exposure of project report preparation, statutory, tax and internal Audit of various private and public sector companies under leading Chartered Accountancy firm of Lucknow, India.

- Got opportunity to lead team of accountants to finalize books of Accounts of a mega power generation public sector Company including handling of Statutory, Tax and CAG audit.
