• Managing the functions of EXIM& Logistics Department and end to end activities right from picking up the cargo from the suppliers end, freight forwarding, customs clearance, Statutory Compliance and transportation to various overseas project sites.

• Supervising the customs clearance and transportation activities for the overseas projects in Malaysia (PETRONAS) and Kuwait projects (KNPC).
• Responsible for Insurance, contract negotiation &finalization, coordination of third party survey reports, claims, support lodging of insurance claims in case of theft, damage accidents to the Insurance Company and the surveyor.
• Managed imports Customs clearance, transportation & closure of End use Certificates for MNRE Cargo
• Coordinated for the receipt of original shipping documents from Banks/ supplier for the timely clearance of the cargo prior to the arrival of the vessel
• Negotiation of Post Shipment Documents with the Bank, complying with the stipulated LC terms and conditions and obtaining the BRC/FIRC from the banks against Exports and advance Payments
• Successfully handled the export activities of Textiles, Yarn, Fabrics, Made ups, etc. to US, EU and South Asian Countries
• Handled the documentation for the Pre-shipment and Post- shipment documentation for Exports
Interfacing with cross functional departments for ascertaining import / export plans of raw materials.
Devising efficient logistics management system to ensure delivery of the goods / shipments as per committed timelines and cost.
Monitoring the export operations in Port for Break Bulk Cargo - Wind Mills.
Supervising export of Wind Energy Converters, Spares Parts, etc.
Managing effective & efficient costing system resulting in cost reduction, business process and procedures for improving performances.
Preparing the MIS reports of inward / outward logistics with a view to appraise top management and customers of the routine inventory management activities.
Monitoring the export operations and keeping compliance with the excise, custom laws, notifications, tariffs, policy & procedures.
Handling export documentation, shipment activities, cost & route negotiations, export incentives and procedural requirement of Central Excise, Customs, Director General of Foreign Trade, etc.
Managing shipment related activities including coordination with shipping lines, sea freight rationalizing and resolving the billing / payment Issues.
Handling the import clearances, purchasing of DEPB licenses, supplier follow up (foreign & local), clearance under normal, DEPB, CDC & through FTA and CHA & Freight Forwarder Contracts.
Guiding the negotiations with Freight Forwarder for multimode transportation from various part of the world to various Indian Ports.
Liaising with Transporters for movement of the export cargo to NMPT.
Leading, training & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in operations and meeting of individual & group targets.
