• Securing from patients pertinent personal data, medical history, previous eye consultation, and explain some ophthalmic procedures to be done and make necessary referral.
• Performing ORB Scan and Zywave for client’s planning LASIK Surgery
• Educating regarding the procedure and contraindication of the LASIK Surgery.
• Scheduling patients for surgery and follow-up consultation
• Confirming with patient or companion on schedule of surgery
• Giving necessary instructions to diagnosed cataract patients the process of securing the necessary documents such as cardiopulmonary clearance.
• Giving instructions regarding pre-operative medications
• Ensuring that diagnostic and laboratory tests are completed before the day of surgery
• Reminding patients of scheduled surgery
• Advising patients of changes in the surgery date
• Informing the doctors of schedule of surgery prior to the scheduled date
• Coordinating with the surgeon and other staff concerning the surgical procedures for each patient
• Performing other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor
• Evaluating patient care needs, prioritizing treatment and maintaining patient flow.
