• Abstracting pertinent information from patient records and assigning and creating the
relevant codes.
• Responsible for the coding for the Out-patient and EM coding.
• Responsible for handling different types of medical claims which includes surgery, ED and Anesthesia etc.
• Verifying the charts for client uploading directly.
• Review the charts for admit and discharge date. Very good exposure on CPT as well as modifiers
• Responsible for the coding for the Out-patient
• Extreme knowledge with regard to Medical Coding guidelines and coding techniques (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS level II, CCI edits & Coding tools like Encoder).
• Proficient in physician coding, outpatient coding.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• In-depth Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and clinical medicine.
• Very efficient in using MS Office Software. Possessor of effective communication and interpersonal skills.
