• Create partitions, partition profiles, and system profiles, Activate partitions, and Schedule operations for partitions, dynamic operations for adding, moving, and removing memory, processor resources, and I/O slots.
● Work on daily issues that are generated by monitoring tool - file system issues and operating system health checks.
● Setup, installation and configuration of AIX Operating system on p series machines. Installing AIX in Complete over write, preservation and migration modes.
● Performing installations using NIM master. Recovering server using mksysb, NIM resources etc., .
● Working on System Management Services SMS and changing boot list order etc.,
● Finding hardware and software errors using errpt and taking necessary actions to fix if any errors occurred.
● Having Strong knowledge on NIM server Environment like Configuring NIM master.
● Creating NIM resources, Extracting ISO image to create lpp and spot resources, installing OS on NIM clients..
● Working on HMC, administering, configuration of LPAR, DLPAR, resource allocation, moving resources as when required dynamically.
● Working with HMC, creating, configuring logical partitions, installing OS on lpars using NIM etc.,
● Familiar with mksysb, savevg for volume groups and using backup utility for individual or file system level backups.
