United Telecoms Limited has implemented the prestigious Goa Broad Band Network Project, an AVVID Structure (Architecture of Voice Video and Integrated Data) for the Government of Goa to provide the government a crucial backbone infrastructure for its e-governance project. This Network connects the State Head Quarters (SHQ) at Panaji to all 11 Taluka’s with 10 Gbps of connectivity in a partial mesh topology. Each of this Taluka is further connected to respective Government offices and panchayats with 1 Gbps of connectivity
Managed ISP Services for providing Cisco routing & switching, Technical support (Wired & Wireless) to customers of GBBN as well as Gwave (ISP), & playing a Lead role in implementing FTTH technology in the State of Goa.
Job Responsibilities:
•Administration and configuration of UTSTARCOM's Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and registering UTSTARCOM's Optical Network Unit (ONU) for Gwave FTTH ISP Connectivity.
•Administration and configuration of HONLUS Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and registering Honlus MHTC/HOLS Optical Network Unit (ONU) for Gwave FTTH ISP Connectivity.
•Configuration & troubleshooting of Cisco 7609 Routers, Cisco 3750 L3-Switches for horizontal and private connectivity.
•Having Strong Experience in working on Optical Fiber Equipments like FDU, Splitter, OTDR, Xenpak Modules, SFP Modules, Attenuators & different types of connectors & Adaptors.
•Monitoring networks of State Head Quarter, District Head Quarter and Taluka Headquarters. Handling Network monitoring tools, controlling and testing video conferencing devices, and Cisco 7906 Series IP phones.
•Providing Technical solutions to customers of Gwave & GBBN.
•Manage and Configure Service Routers & Controller servers provided by Inventum Technologies, Bangalore for Unified Billing solutions.
•Manage and Configure GWave Hotspot Services solution servers powered by Hotspot Express, Chennai.
•Providing technical assistance to Taluka engineers for troubleshooting Gwave & GBBN technical issues.
•Working in Core GBBN Solution Team for providing Technical Solutions for various Network changes/Redundancies/Customer issues/R&D on different networking equipments etc.
Technical Profile:
•Network Basic: OSI & TCP/IP networking models and Internet Protocols like FTP, Telnet, etc. IP Addressing & Subnetting.
•Routing: Implementation, Configuration, Troubleshooting of Cisco 7600, 2600, 2800, 3800 series routers, Protocols include OSPF, EIGRP, 802.1q, BGP basics.
•Switching: Implementation, Configuration, Troubleshooting of Cisco Catalyst 3500/3700/6500 series switches, implementing VLANs, Trunks, and VTP & STP configuration and troubleshooting.
•Network Equipment: Polycom, UTStarcoms GEPON Equipment-Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and Optical Network Unit (ONU), Honlus GPON Equipment-OLT & ONU, Cisco 7906 IP Phone, Cisco 7985 Video IP Phone, D-Link phone.
•Servers: NMS & Helpdesk application (CentOS) provided by NMSWorks, Chennai, Billing solutions (CentOS) provided by Inventum, Bangalore. Wi-Fi Hotspot Services Server (Windows 8) powered by Hotspot Express, Chennai.
•Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003/2000, Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux (CentOS 5.6/6.0, Ubuntu 12.04).
