Surbhi Kashyap

After completing my residency, I served as a full-time dermatologist at AIIMS Raipur, a premier central government medical university hospital ranked among the top institutes in South Asia. I provided comprehensive care to patients with a wide spectrum of dermatological conditions.

My role included diagnosing and managing diverse skin disorders, as well as performing a variety of dermatological procedures with precision and attention to detail. I worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, reflecting a strong commitment to collaboration and clinical excellence.

I provided both medical and cosmetic dermatology services across dermatology, venereology, and leprosy in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. In addition, I supervised and mentored medical students and residents, contributing to their academic and clinical development.

During my residency, I developed a strong foundation in the diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and leprosy. I provided comprehensive care in Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprosy across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. With approximately 150-200 patients attending the outpatient clinic daily, I gained substantial experience in managing and counseling a wide range of dermatological disorders.

I actively participated in clinical research, journal clubs, and academic seminars, integrating recent advances in dermatology into patient care. My procedural experience included a variety of dermatological and aesthetic interventions such as laser therapies, skin biopsies, chemical peels, electrocautery, intralesional injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and nail surgeries.

In addition, I completed a three-year thesis in the form of a case-control study evaluating risk factors for adult-onset acne, analyzing both established and emerging factors in a cohort of 140 patients.

I worked as a Resident Medical Officer at BMC, one of the largest oncology specialty hospitals in central India. My role involved providing immediate care to patients presenting to the emergency department, as well as managing post-operative and critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

I was actively involved in obtaining informed consent, managing medical emergencies, ensuring adherence to chemotherapy protocols, and counseling patients regarding palliative care. Additionally, I performed a range of basic and primary care procedures as part of my responsibilities in this role.
