* Sourcing raw materials from global market like China, Europe, India, Germany
USA, Taiwan and also from local market.
*Negotiating prices, quantity and delivery time scales.
*Ensuring that products are delivered on time.
*Calculating the impact of any purchases on company sales and gross margin.
*Looking out for price fluctuations in the market place.
*Writing up accurate buying reports.
*Developing effective working relationships with suppliers.
*Developing new supplier relationships.
*Update prices to costing division for quotation and biding purposes.
*Ensured stock inventory levels were maintained to adequately to meet operation needs.
*Implementing systems to avoid situations like over-stocking or out-of-stock which cause production and financial losses.
*Quarterly vendor evaluation and vendor assessment.
*Keeping purchase price records accurate and up to date.
*Contacting suppliers to point out any shortcomings.
*Making sure that purchased goods arrive on time and liaison with finance department that supplier is paid on time.
*Resolving purchase orders and invoice discrepancies.
*Placing orders with approved suppliers.
*Monitoring purchase orders.
*Provide shipping details to plants to plan their production schedules.
*Obtain shipping documents prior to arrival of the vessel at destination port, to ensure on time clearance of raw material without paying any additional cost.
