I was a part of Bank’s Wealth Management Capital Markets with a mandate to design, recommend and source Structured Products on Equities, Rates, Commodities, FX and Funds for EMEA UHNI investors
- Proactively carried out a detailed analysis of pricing of Structured Products across time, to find best investment opportunity, which brought in the record breaking investment of USD 50 million from a single client
- Innovated and implemented the idea of creating automated Performance Reports for client portfolios, with HTML coding using existing resources, which was a key milestone in after-sale service for our team, saving the bank time and cost
- Created effective marketing material for our structured products on an ongoing basis which increased our team’s revenue by 6% Y-o-Y even in the slow paced market with turmoil
- Established and maintained sustainable relationships with key stakeholders within the Bank as well as with external counterparties
I performed due diligence to ensure regulatory requirements of the Bank are met under Dodd Frank Act and European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) for all asset classes (Credit, Rates, Equities, Commodities, FX)
- Lead a project to improve the accuracy of reporting and delivered a successful solution to the bank which flags the inaccuracies and also suggests the possible solutions to resolve them with minimal effort.
- Resolved a record breaking 11 exception types at a time and developed procedures for others to follow improving the regulatory compliance of the bank by a hefty 5%, saving the bank from a potential heavy regulatory fine
- Ensured accurate, timely and complete reporting of OTC derivatives by investigating and resolving exceptions
- Proactively lead and managed a team of 4 during absence of management for a prolonged period
I was responsible for assessing the relative ability and willingness of the borrowers (mainly investment grade) to fulfill their debt obligations on the bank facilities or any other financial instruments issued by them, in a timely manner, and help assigning rating so as to aid corporates in raising capital for their various requirements and assisting the investors to make an informed decision based on the credit risk and their own risk return expectation by
1. Credit appraisal of businesses
2. Analyzing financial statements, key financial ratios, financial projections
3. Default, recovery and cash flow modelling and peer firm analysis
4. Researching various industries (Oil & Gas, Power, Diamond, Textile, NBFC)
5. Visiting the business sites and meeting with top management
6. Writing a detailed note along with presenting and substantiating rating recommendations in front of senior management as well as external committee meetings
7. Preparing press release and rating rationale for publication
- Performed in depth credit appraisal of more than 40 corporates by analyzing their end to end business, some with a billion plus dollar in revenue and covered more than 10 industries
- Recognized for best analyzed rating assignment of a complex company (GSPC Pipavav Power Company LTD.) and substantiating the rating recommendation that was out of my comfort zone, saving my company from reputational damage
- Took an initiative of rating an NBFC client, a new industry for our business - Served clients with zero-errors and at most client centricity

- Performed Fundamental Analysis using top-down approach on a specific stock of ‘Google Inc.’
