• Looked after the overall management of production & maintenance activities of factory to plan, direct & ensure effective implementation of management’s goals & corporate objectives and established proper cost control measures
• Executed cost & energy saving techniques / measures & modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures and work within the budget
• Administered & assessed MTBF & MTTR to improve maintenance effectiveness in the shop floor on regular basis
• Coordinated, inspected, operated & maintained heating, cooling & ventilation systems
• Ensured hot repair in furnace & its associated equipment were done successfully without any down
• Carried out analysis of furnace function & combustion system optimization and generated required operating temperatures in order to ensure the best quality of glass
• Involved in:
o Troubleshooting the faults with minimum down time through preventive maintenance campaign to increase furnace life by taking furnace sidewalls air-cooling arrangements provided to increase furnace campaign life
• Capacity utilization, quantity & wastage control to increase the productivity
• Accountable to ensure that the services (utility, off-plot) units were operated to their optimum design by monitoring and acted on information obtained
• Performed routine inspection & testing whole furnace (inside & outside) all critical areas like Doghouse corners, Throat Corners, Back Wall, Side Wall, Cooling at Metal Line, Electrode Holders, Thermocouple Pockets, etc.
• Generated suitable work instructions, importance of health & safety associated with their tasks & performance appraisal of operators for operating the equipment
• Maintained thorough knowledge of current operational status of the part of plant & equipment in the process services area and looked after the daily instructions, logbooks & shift change over communications
