• Primary responsibility includes Data Center Administration and Operations, Port Applications Server Administration (Windows) and Backup Administration (HP Data Protector and VEEAM)
• To carry out day to day IT operations tasks, scheduled daily tasks and activities
• To complete service requests related to applications on day to day basis from business
• Schedule preventive maintenance activities and liaise with internal departments and 3rd party vendors
• Virtualization, Vulnerability assessment and remediation activities for application servers
• Data center equipment monitoring and ensure 24/7 system uptime and smooth port operations
• DR - Failover Activities for applications and Reactive activities in terms of incidents related to data center equipment
• Ensure Audit findings resolution related to Backup and Data Center Facilities
• Administering and monitoring day to day Data Center Operations of Al Ghurair Investments; a data center having a landscape of complete services of all of the companies across the Al Ghurair Group
• Managing daily backups of all remote and on-sites servers and maintaining their records with respect to backup category
• Ensuring high availability of production system services and 24x7x365 services to all users and customers
• Acting as a first point of contact for any infrastructure related incident and making sure that the issue is resolved within the scope of agreed AMC with all BU and at the same time coordinating with external vendors for support and resolution of the issue if needed
• Acting as a first line of support to users in case of business critical issues and to follow the escalation matrix
• Maintain physical inventory of all data center related equipments
• Maintain all documents and daily/monthly reports as per External Audit Directives and SOP pertaining to Data Center
• Manage Access Control system and CCTV system of the Data Center maintaining its backup as well
• Maintaining facilities like UPS, Generator, Fire Fighting System (FM200), Temperature and Humidity Sensors and CCAC units as well as power related issues at the Data Center
• Ensuring redundant power supply to all devices present in the Data Center
• Scheduling preventive maintenances and maintain AMC’s of all equipment and ensuring proper maintenance being carried out
• Performing Pre-Post implementation activities in association with other IT Groups i.e. handling any hardware deployment and capacity management
• Generating various event management reports on daily basis from the system
• Maintaining all data center diagrams with building blocks as well as Rack-Server placements and power feed distribution
• Maintaining daily operational record/duty checklist
• Managing Support and Services team compromising of 10 Support Engineers and 3 Services Technician deputed all over the Group
• Maintaining complete on-site IT support services for all companies falling under Al - Othman Holding Group (desktop support + request fulfillment + service fulfillment)
• Front face of SSBS to Group clients (POC), conducting client meetings, getting their requirements and executing them in accordance with SLA’s contracted
• Preparing action plan with core teams and supporting their execution in association with clients
• Managing Helpdesk Portal (AdventNet Manage Engine Service Desk)
• Monthly performance reporting site wise and engineer wise to higher management
• Prepare policies and procedures for following up and action plan on tickets
• Maintaining complete CCTV system implemented in different companies of the Group (New Installations + Maintenance + Administration)
• Maintaining Time Attendance and Access Control System (RFID + Biometric) implemented in different companies of the Group (New Installations + Maintenance + Administration)
• Providing L1 support on Alcatel-Lucent IP/PABX system
• Maintain Physical Inventory for All IT Equipment
• Technical writing and procure IT Materials contracted with clients to support SLA
