380KV Underground cable & OHTL.
Various renovation Project of Saudi Aramco such as, Renovation of fire alarm and sprinkler of building, Power Conversion / Upgrade from 110V to 220V and Construction of Dining Halls, Pump & Electrical rooms, Residential Houses etc.
Detail study of Scope of Work Technically as well as commercially with Preparation of Technical Clarification in design and commercials Deviation if any.
Preparing Work Schedules includes supervision with Planning & Execution.
Coordination with clients and vendors and providing solutions to resolve the execution hurdles.
Providing guidance to Site Engineers for Technical Issues with solutions.
Completed Power Conversion of 12 Residential Houses, 2 months before the Completion Date of Project.
Executing Fire Sprinkler System in ware house of 4, 650 m² area with Construction of electrical room and pump rooms.
Executing the Renovation fire alarm and sprinkler system of 2Nos of Dining Hall having 2, 000 m² & 2, 800 m² area including of power conversion from 110V to 220V (Including installation of M.V Transformer, Switchgear, Panel Boards).

Project : Construction of 380KV Underground Cable between BSP# 9052 - 9026 (Double Ckt, 17 Km) AND BSP# 9052 - 9004 (Single Ckt, 9Km)

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspection of Preliminary Route Survey, Cable Route Design, Trial holes with inspections for Installation of 380kV XLPE Power Cable 1C x 2500mm2, UGNMFOC Single Mode 96 core Fiber laying, Jointing & Splicing of cables, Joint Bays, Link Box Manhole, Communication Hand-Hole, Link Boxes & Earth Pits as per SEC standards.
• Inspection of crossing of open cut (SDBs, CDBs) and H.D.D as per SEC specifications / standards.
• Inspection for site activities such as cable pulling, sheath test to check the integrity of power cable after sand covering of power cables.
• Inspection for all Testing & Commissioning activities such as, Sheath Test, Phase Verification, Conductor Continuity, Link Box Contact Resistance, Sheath Voltage Limiter etc.
• Material Inspection and verification as per SEC standard / specification.
• Review electrical drawing and technical accuracy including assistance to contractors with the preparation of electrical drawings and providing technical solutions on the occurrence of obstacles.
• Prepares technical correspondence, reports and studies.
• Perform daily inspection & test material to achieve quality of construction required in the SEC specification / standards for all work under contract document.
• Control and monitoring all activities following Method of statement & Quality Management System.
• Coordination with Client, Contractor and Sub-contractors to eliminate site hurdles and to achieve the milestone timely in efficient manner.
• Check, verify and obtaining approval for discrepancies of works.
• Preparation of Reports such as DPR, WPR, Overall Progress Reports, Site Instruction, Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Verification of Invoices.
• Audits Projects Progress and Inconsistency with Project Progress Reporting process and actual.
• Maintaining all important documents including certificates, calibration reports, test result, inspection request and site inspection data.
Project : Installation of 380kV Underground Cable between Al-Safa BSP# 9014 to 9017, Double Circuit of 17Km Length. (Completed)

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of BOQ.
• Procurement and Supply of material with Scheduling the Weekly & Monthly Plan and assurance of delivery of material on time for achieving the milestones.
• Ensure the quality of material is as per SEC standard and raise Material Request for Inspection (MRI).
• Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQ) and producing the competitive statements.
• Installation of 380kV XLPE Power Cable 1C x 2500mm2, UGNMFOC Single Mode 48 core Fiber laying, Jointing and splicing, Link Boxes, Joint Bays Earth Pit.
• Associated with Civil & Mechanical works such as, Route Survey, Trail Holes, Trench Excavation, bedding of Cement Bond Sand bedding (CBS), Fluidized Thermal Bedding (FTB) Construction of Joint bays, Link Box manholes & Communication hand-holes, Cable Termination at GIB with 5 Star safety requirement as per SEC standards.
• Execution including Jointing, Splicing & Termination, Road crossing by Open Cut, Concrete Duck Bank (CDB), Sand Duct Bank (SDB) and Horizontal Direction Drilling (HDD).
• Preparation of project related reports such as, Work Schedules/Sheets (WSs), Daily Progress Report (DPR), Inspections Request (RFI), Equipment Deficiency Reports (EDRs) and Punch List (PL).
• Review electrical drawing and technical accuracy including assistance to designers with the preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP) with design cocept.
• Supervision of day to day activities on site, Co-ordination with the Client (SEC), Consultants and other authorities for smooth execution and operation of work and for all the Technical issues & document submission, prior to execution of site work.
• Receiver for LOA, STW & SFT and directing work as SEC 5 star safety requirements.
• Taking initiatives and presents technical solutions to client for hurdles such as re-routing due to underground utilities or placements of link boxes etc.
• Preparation of Invoices for Client and verification of subcontractor invoices.

• Control and monitoring all activities following Method of statement & Quality Management System.
• Verifies and Monitor quantities with allocation of material as per requirements.
• Assurance for the Delivery of Material at site on time for Smooth Execution of work as per Project Plan.
• Preparation of the Time Sheets for rental & company employed personnel.

• Preliminary Route Survey, Construction, Installation, and Supervision of Foundations, Assembly and Erection of Latticed Steel Tower Types (EA, EG & JKD), Twin Bundle Conductors per phase Sagging, Clipping, Dead ending, Installation of Spacer Dampers and OPGW (Optical Power Ground Wire) Work, as per WAPDA/BARQAAB Specifications.
• Technical Inspections, Monitoring, Management and Verification of all kind of Site Activities and ensure that all the site works are being carried as per Construction Drawings/Standards.
• Supervise Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports/Plan Production and submit it to Consultant (BARQAAB) & Client (WAPDA).
• Assurance for Delivery of Construction Material at site on time for smooth execution of project.
• Ascertain the Engineering Deliverables and Update the progress in the Master Plan.
• Monitor any resource deviation and report the resource utilization, Effectiveness and Efficiencies.
• Review all sub-contractor plans to assure full compliance with Project Master Plan.

Project : 220/132kV New Shalamar GIS Grid Station.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision of Transformers and Switchgears Foundation, GIS Halls, Fire wall along with Preparation of BOQ with Procurement of Materials as per WAPDA standards and Verifications. Preparation of Work Schedules/Sheets (WSs), (DPR) & (EDRs).
• Determines schedule dates for work activities & determines milestones to support Project Schedule.
• Submission of Project Reports to Consultant (BARQAAB) and Client (WAPDA) and Filing all important documents.
• Develops quantity release or Installation Curves for a specific discipline or specialty if required.
• Assist in the development of requirements for Cost Recording, Reporting and Analyzing Standards, Programs, Reports and in their Implementation.
• Co-ordination manpower and Preparing of Daily Activity Reports.
• Reinforcement of the importance of achieving cost and schedule goals, as well as quality.

• Operation & Maintenance of LV and HV Circuit Breakers, Isolators, CTs & CCVTs.
• Installation of lighting panel/power panel and Cable Termination as per Circuit.
• Installation and Troubleshoot of Panels.
• Transformer Testing such as, Transformer Winding Resistance Test, Transformer Turns Ratio Test (TTR), Polarity Test & Megger.
• Preparation of Inspection reports, Punch list & as-built Drawings after Inspection of System.
• Preparation of layout & update drawing. Inspection and Quality control of all electrical works with Inspection and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment.
• Preparing performance reports for assigned disciplines or specialties.
During Internship period worked on and learnt about following.
• Worked on Electrical Supply & Distribution System involving HT and LT Network. The Supply and Distribution System includes the following major components.

2 X PFI Units each of 400 KVAR rating
Various Change Over Panels with Auto and Manual Operations
• Experienced the functioning of Electrical Section which involves daily Operational activities, Trouble shootings, Preventive Maintenance and Project activities etc.
• Learnt about reading the Control Circuit Drawings, Maintenance Charts etc.
