I am working as Junior Geologist in Neelum Jhelum Hydroelectric (power) Project with ACE. As a Junior Geologist my responsibilities are
• Supervision of high pressure (05Mpa) pre excavation grouting under the river crossing section of headrace tunnel.
• Supervision of Contact and Consolidation Grouting in concrete lining and Steel lining at river crossing.
• Logging Probe drilling hole to optimize the ground condition ahead of tunnel face.
• Supervision of Core Drilling.
• Supervision of Mortar (M-45) injection in the cavity holes remains in the Concrete Lining.
• Supervision of Marsh Cone test for measuring viscosity of grout and mortar (M-45).
• Supervision of Mud Balance test for measuring the density of grout as per design.
• Supervision of Hydro jacking tests conducted at shallow crossing of tunnel under Jhelum River valley to investigate insitue stresses for design of permanent support for tunnel in the shallow section.
• Monitoring contractor compliance with the technical, contract documents, standards and specifications.
• Managing office reports and data processing.
• Replying of letters to client and contractor.
• Sampling of soil, Aggregates & Steel
• Preparation of Concrete Mix Design
• Cylinder making, Curing, Capping & Testing
• Lab testing of Soil, Concrete & Aggregates
• Record keeping of Letters & R.F.I
• Supervision of QA/QC, Health & Safety plan
BS in Earth Sciences from COMSATS INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ABBOTTABAD. My CGPA is 3.5. I have done my thesis research work on Landslides in Kaghan and Naran area using GIS.
