Worked as “Procurement Specialist” in REDD+ Readiness Preparation Grant Readiness Fund, Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan and was responsible for procurement of goods/equipment and consulting services for Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) program supporting the Government of Pakistan to reach REDD+ (Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation)
Worked as Procurement Specialist for pre and post review of procurements of goods/equipment and consultancy services od various donor funded projects \{Tarbela Dam & Gomal Zam Dam Projects funded by USAID, LAMP Project of Livestock and Diary Department, Government of Punjab funded by International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD)\}.
Served as “Procurement Specialist” in Associates in Development (AiD), a consultancy firm running five years “Assessment and Strengthening Program (ASP), funded by USAID. In addition to procurement of Goods, Services and Works, my responsibilities included preparation of Procurement Policies and Procedures Manuals for Public Sector Entities and Non-Government Organizations(NGOs), as well as, impart necessary Training to relevant staff to build capacity and establish procurement management function for effective and efficient procurement activities (procurement of good, services and works), in accordance with public, private and donors’ procurement standards/policies/procedures & guidelines. In addition, provided hand holding for procurement of Goods, Services (consultancy firms & individual consultants) and Works to the following government entities and NGOs: -
a. FATA Secretariat-Project Management Unit (USAID funding of US $ 650 Million).
b. Municipal Services Delivery Program (MSDP) of Local Government and Rural Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (USAID funding of US $ 84.75 Million).
c. Urban Policy Unit, Planning & Development Division, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (USAID funding of US $ 59 Million).
d. Power Generations Companies (Gencos) I, II & III (Jamshoro, Guddu & Muzaffargarh), (USAID funding of US $ 50 Million).
e. Pakistan Centre of Advance Studies(PCAS) at National University of Science & Technology(NUST)-Islamabad, University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar(UETP)-Peshawar, University of Agriculture Faisalabad(UAF), Mehran University of Engineering & Technology(MUET)-Jamshoro (USAID funding US $ 60 Million).
Served as “Procurement Specialist” at Project Management and Policy Implementation Unit (PMPIU) of Water Sector Capacity Building and Advisory Services Project (WCAP), US $ 38.00 Million Project, funded by The World Bank and was responsible for procurement of Equipment, Goods, Stores and Services (consulting firms & individual consultants) and Works.
Served as “Director Procurement” at Quaid-E-Azam International Hospital, a US $ 60.00 Million, 400 Bed Tertiary Care Health Facility Project, under construction at Rawalpindi and was responsible of procurement of Equipment, Goods, Stores, Consultancy Services and Works of value over US $ 25.00 Million.
Served as “Procurement & Contract Management Specialist” in “Access to Justice Program Management Unit” Ministry of Law and was responsible for procurement of Goods. Services (consulting services, consulting firms & individual consultants) and Works for Project (US$ 20 Million), funded by Asian Development Bank.
Served as “Senior Procurement & Contract Management Specialist” in Planning Commission and was responsible for procurement of Goods and Services (consulting services, consulting firms & individual consultants) for Infrastructure Management Unit dealing with Infrastructure Development Projects (US $ 34 Million) in Water, Power and Transport Sectors, funded by Asian Development Bank.
Two & half years of “Procurement and Contracting Management” experience at The World Bank Islamabad Mission Office.
Three years of Procurement and Contract Management experience as Director Engineering Facilities, during deputation to Saudi Arabia.
