Involved in the ongoing project which is on the final stage of completion, Duties to plan, direct and coor-dinate all MEP activities of the ADIB project to ensure that the goals/objectives of the project are accom-plished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the duties personally or through subordinates. maintaining a positive relationship with client, consultants, and the vendors, hire and manage vendors, create and manage schedule of values, pay applications, RFI’s, change orders and oversee final installations and commissioning handing over of the systems.
Trigger and receive payments at key milestones. Reconcile, True-up project at key milestones. Obtain close-out documentation at project completion. Responsible for engineering team on the project as well as a full site delivery team over 150 including safety, cost and financial management, Quality, and Ad-ministration.

Responsible to plan and implement the commissioning process from design stage through the construction stage and finally to execute the commissioning of all systems and interface in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards within the project timeline.
Construction and design phase: Review design drawings, Technical submissions, and raise queries as to commission-ability of design and their compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Supporting, the commissioning team producing method statements, O&M manuals, As-built drawings, & documentations for closeout of the project.

Organizing, establishing T&C procedures, reviewing and approving the pre-commissioning, commission-ing, performance test runs and startup procedures and testing activities of all MEP systems.
Attending all project meetings with consultants, client, sub-contractors, in-house engineers on an daily basis. Scheduling the final interface program and ensure all deadlines are been achieved in a timely manner. Preparing the Integrated System Testing Strategy to achieve the designed aim for an energy efficient building of high environmental quality.
Communicate with the project engineering office in order to ensure that the applicable drawings are created in accordance with all commissioning requirements. Regular monitoring and reporting commissioning progress.

The project is Industrial project with 4 number pump station buildings consisting of Electrical/Control Equipment the essential Requirement of HVAC system, Chillers, Fire Alarm/Protection system, Small power & Lighting, Earthing/Lightning system, Telecommunication and CCTV were involved and the systems are design and built.

As a Sr. MEP coordinator was involved from very initial stage of the project overseeing the complete building services MEP design, getting approvals on design & installations. Technical expertise for participating in design reviews, construct ability reviews, evaluation of ITPs, method statements, shop drawings, material submitting, Bids/ proposals & subcontractor qualifications, project close-out documentation, O&M manuals.

The above works were executed by M/s Drake & Scull with the value of Aed; 50 Million, and I was directly responsible from the main contractor and effectively handled services installations for the project to closeout.

Managed MEP - QC inspection schedules, attended site inspections and quality tests, recommended improvements in order to correct/repair site deficiencies, instrumental in the daily planning and administering of the quality assurance program.

Construction of Barwa City Amenities was complete a design and built project, consists of School’s, Kinder Garden’s, Grand Mosque, Local Mosque’s, Multipurpose Hall, Health Club, Parking lots, etc.

I was involved in finalizing of design with in-house appointed designers (MZ & Partners), Liaising with the Client, his Representatives for design approvals. Managing technical, contractual and commercial matters of the MEP services installation, Technical and Administrative support to the MEP Sub-contractor (M/s Mechel Engineering) Project Planning, Scheduling, budgeting, Monitoring and Control. Coordinated and liaised with multi-disciplinary team including project managers, consultants & sub-contractors enabling speedy resolutions and final approval of all MEP drawings and submittals.

While working for the main contractor have effectively handled services installation works done by MEP Sub-contractor (M/s Al Ahmadia Aktor) for the above project with budget value of Aed: 300 Million for MEP services. My role involves on-site inspections and data management by referral to the IFC and Shop Drawings to establish shortfalls, their risk assessment and how to rectify them in order not to deter the test and commission and the eventual hand-over.

Project consist of Hotel and Apartments - (3B+G+MZ+10) + Office building (2B+G+ 11)

The Office Building has 2 basements for 300 Cars, a ground floor, and 11 typical floors and about 180 offices. (3x1500 KVA transformers +1000 KVA diesel generator).
The Hotel Building has 3 basements for 600 Cars, a ground floor, mezzanine-level and 10 typical floors, 396 rooms, and 156 Executive Apartment Units. (9 x 1500 KVA transformers + 3000 KVA diesel generators).

As a lead Sr. electrical engineer with MEP contracting company for the project consisting of 180 Rooms and Suites with Restaurants, Main Kitchen and other kitchens, Pools bars/ beach bars, etc… . I was leading site team of engineers to offer technical assistance and provide solutions to situations, be them installation or design issues. Involved in preparing Shop drawings, Material submittals, and Voltage drop calculations and submit for approvals, Proposals for LV cables sizes, calculating loads for cable tray / trunks and its support designs. Also involved with the installations of Chillers, HVAC Systems, Fire Alarm/Protection System, and Switch Board’s, MCC’s, VFD’s, Bus Bars, Capacitor Banks, Generators, Finalizing and ordering of materials and follow-up with deliveries and installations as per planned schedules.

Conducted budget analysis and budget variance study, cost control and project schedule tracking using Value management techniques. Highlighting and Identify deviations in Design and record the findings in written reports to the client.
