I lead teams through the planning, execution and conclusion stages of audits, validation of financial
reporting packages and other special nature engagements including work on controls within the financial reporting function. My key roles and responsibilities during my association with PwC includes:
Technical role
- For audit engagements ensured compliance with the requirements of International Standards on Auditing;
- For audit and other engagements applied the knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in technical issues and in the course of engagement, wherever required;
- Involved in decision-making for resolution of critical matters / significant issues;
- Assisting clients in the drafting of accounting policies and procedures;
- Reviewing client's control processes and advising on improvements towards best practices; and

Management role (people management)
- Supervision, training and motivation of teams members;
- Involved in the budgeting of assignments and managing the cost recoveries on them; and
- Acting as training personnel for implementation of audit methodologies on audit engagements.
Management role (relationship and operational management)
- Liaising with and developing good working relationships with the client to deliver engagement expectations;
- Preparing/Leading business proposals on behalf of the firm in response to engagement opportunities;
- Co-ordination with experts in various fields like legal, actuarial, valuations and IT; and
- Providing ongoing advisory services to clients and acting as a point of contact in the firm for audit related queries from the clients.
