Motion Surveillance System by Background Subtraction Method using Spatio Temporal Texture:
•To design a Motion surveillance system using background subtraction method. Conventional Motion detection techniques use background subtraction method for detecting moving objects, but it is yet a difficult problem to distinguish moving objects from backgrounds when these backgrounds change significantly. Hence, in the project, we demonstrated a method for detecting moving objects with a background model utilizing a spatio-temporal texture named “Space-Time Patch”, which describes both motion and appearance. Our experimental results show the proposed method outperforms one conventional method in three different real time scenarios. The software has to not only guarantee better real time service, but also good performance with respect to the playback of the streamed media data.
