Management of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety teams

• Manage a State-of-the Art poultry processing facility from STORK, Holland with processing capacity of 12, 000 Birds per hour along with seven direct and 500 indirect reports.
• Vast experience in Fresh as well as Frozen foods environment.
• Experience in dealing with manufacturing lines and equipment made by MAREL-STORK, MEYN, CFS, GEA and Cryovac etc.
• First-hand experience with plant start-ups and capacity upgrades.
• Responsible for financial performance of the processing plant, product costing, implementing cost reduction initiatives, capital forecasting and multi-million Riyal P&L management.
• Strategic planning, policy formulation and execution at the SBU level in line with the overall corporate goals.
• Oversaw 2 Managers and 4 Sr. Executives who monitored bio-security, food safety & quality at multiple sites (Hatchery, Poultry farms, Poultry processing)
• Technical resource for raw material procurement, operations and retail distribution
• Created product monitoring processes which helped reduce downgrades by ~20%
• Primary contact for IDAC laboratory to help produce ~400 food safety reports / year, ongoing analytical testing of foods and special projects management
• Instrumental in developing and implementing HACCP based Food safety Management system ISO 22000 and also Quality Management System (FSMS and QMS team leader)
• Responsible for the food safety & quality of products received, warehoused and shipped at the Cold Chain (poultry meat, seafood) distribution and retail centers • Recall Team Member • MOFPI (Ministry of Food Processing Industries) Liason
