• Handled strategic sourcing of various categories under Non-Food Category & In-direct spends to drive operational efficiency.
• Executing tenders related to Equipments, Capital expenses, Packaging products, Chemicals, innovative solutions, Software, Customer team / retail section requirements by developing and implementing Sourcing strategies to obtain the best cost for the organization.
• Sourcing, Pre-qualifying, optimizing sourcing activities timelines, evaluating of suppliers prior to the tender, to ensure that qualified suppliers are included in the tender process as per the Company Policy.
• Lead & develop tender documents, specification, data sheet preparation, KPI, SLA along with internal stakeholders for the specific products, incorporating necessary commercial terms, legal clauses & regulations in order to achieve the lowest cost of ownership based on competitive and fair bidding.
• Conduct negotiation and finalization of products with the suppliers based on the best commercial terms & conditions for the organization. Ensuring supply & commercial risk in minimized and best contractual & commercial positions are attained.
• Preparation of Executive Summary, techno commercial evaluation and reports for long term contracts based on the DOA. Representing the Category during internal & external Audits.
• Developing win-win situation with suppliers, tracking order status, ensure to have two-way communication on shortage, supply chain challenges, potential interruptions. Thus, helping the organization to mitigate risks and to develop proper alternatives to fulfill the client demands and ensure agreed service levels are achieved.
• Updating Management with Savings report, Project tracking report, monthly reports on Category spend.
• Planning and efficient implementation of effective strategic approach to the Sourcing, Project Procurement, Contracts, tenders, complex packages, developing products and achieve lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Development and implementation of SCM policies, P2P process, pre-contract development, procedures (SOPs), metrics, Category management strategies and systems that add value and efficiency to the organization.
• Conduct business review meetings / project kick off meetings with key business stakeholders to identify project requirements, categories, service contracts, assess risk, price movements and delivery trends, in order to drive continuous improvement, value, productivity, innovation and benefit to the business.
• Lead rigorous and objective complex projects, contract negotiations, techno-commercial evaluation, supply Chain process, contract award & implementation, contract performance & improvement, tendering process with key internal stakeholders, legal department and support services in an ethical manner across the organization.
• Managing supplier performance, relationship, quality, lead times, improved payment terms, contractual obligations, production schedules, budget allocations, milestones to ensure that complete support is provided.
• Evaluating monthly procurement reports, savings report, defining SMART objectives, reviewing of performance of the team and improvise the process, to be in line with the latest market standards.
• Responsible to procure quality & cost-effective material, review & process requisition, negotiate, finalize subcontracts and rate agreements for the group company requirements based on their clients / Projects / divisions / business.
• Bench marking & coordinating all aspects of supply chain activities as determined by project strategy, processes and procedures.
• Executing lowest cost / cost effective methods to enhance the company's profitability, by delivering efficient and professional procurement services.
• Reviewing NDA, LOI, LOA, Procurement data, monthly reports, PO log, delivery trackers, Annual Savings report, Procurement status report, MIS and manage profit plan savings targets.
• Maintain & update the trackers for Approved Vendor, Bidder, Brands / Make, service providers list.
• Ownership in implementing long term goals, strategy to promote operational efficiency and effectiveness, supplier evaluation, category management, review risk registers, KPI for the team, highlighting program success, failures, knowledge sharing and automation of SCM digital process systems.
• Providing account management services to GMs on their annual sales / production plans / operation costs on BU and controlling procurement budget requirements for the financial year and providing cost estimation analysis.
• Exclusive Lead / coordinator of Motor Services (BU) for tender-to-projects life cycle to manage third party sourcing and procurement activities for GCC & Africa, by reviewing and assessing the completeness of the requirements / scope of work / services requested by the end user.
• Issuing RFQ to the qualified / prospective suppliers to obtain competitive quote, negotiating best terms & conditions, ordering in line with contractual specifications, expediting and ensure milestone receipts.
• Estimating the optimum costs during the tendering stage & controlling, minimizing the same during the ordering / execution stage by defining the mode of transport / shipper based on the project execution schedule.
• Complete coordination with Project Management, Contracts, Project Control, Engineering, Fabrication and Installation to ensure effective interfaces, resolving supplier related operations challenges, drive the deliverables, expediting SCM activities and milestones to be met in support of the Project Procurement Execution Plan.
* Yearly procurement of 7 million MT of raw materials of value approx. USD 190 million per year.
* Purchasing of 10 Million paper bags per year through Online Reverse Bidding, to obtain maximum savings.
* Executing procurement activities as per approved purchasing procedures and in line with project execution schedule and budget.
* Hedging of HFO - Heavy Fuel Oil at various intervals based on the consumption requirement for power plants.
* Have in depth knowledge about financial documents such as Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantees & other Bank related documents. And involved in the preparation of LC Drafts, Bank Guarantees in coordination with the Finance Dept.
